About Palms Isles

Palms Isles

Wedding Photo & Video Team

Palms Isles is a wedding photo and video team built around one idea: your day should feel effortless, and the memories should feel like the real thing. We shoot light, airy, and true to life. No stiff posing, no forced smiles — just you, your people, and the day exactly as it felt. The nervous energy before the first look. Your mom's face during the vows. The dance floor at 11pm when everyone's shoes are off. From beachfront ceremonies in the Florida Keys to mountain venues along Colorado's Front Range, we've learned how to read a room, catch a moment before it happens, and stay out of the way while capturing everything.

Photo AND video, one team, one vision. Most couples hire two separate companies and hope they get along. We do both in-house — our photographers and cinematographers already work together, share the same aesthetic, and never fight over the same angle. Your gallery and film actually look like they belong to the same wedding. No surprise fees. No vague pricing. You'll always know exactly who's showing up on your day. And you'll never be left wondering — we respond fast, build your timeline with you, and stay in touch from booking to delivery. Most couples tell us we were the easiest vendor they hired. That's the goal.

Did my research, chose them, no regrets

I'm a spreadsheet bride. I interviewed six photographers before booking, compared pricing line by line, read every review I could find. So here's my honest, unglamorous breakdown of why Palms Isles won and why I'd choose them again. Value: they were the only ones offering photo and video together for a price that didn't make me choke. Everyone else quoted photo alone for more. Communication: I timed responses (yes, really) and Nelly was consistently the fastest. Usually same day, often within the hour. That mattered to me more than anything because slow replies during planning are a nightmare. Actual photos: we got married lakeside with the Front Range behind us and the whole dusty blue and gray palette we planned came through perfectly in the gallery. The photographer clearly understood the light and the location. Reception was up on the resort's stone terrace and those golden hour shots are my phone wallpaper now. The one thing I didn't expect: how many candid shots we got. I planned for the posed stuff. What I treasure are the ones nobody staged, my niece spinning in her dress, David wiping his eyes during my vows, that kind of thing. Would I book again knowing what I know now? Immediately. Spreadsheet approved.

    From the husband's perspective

Writing this as the groom because my wife handles most things but this one I wanted to do myself. Full disclosure, I was the guy who thought we were spending too much on photography. I did not get it. In my mind photos were photos. Amanda booked Palms Isles anyway and I went along with it because you pick your battles. I was wrong. Flat out wrong. We did our wedding at Purgatory Resort up in Durango, which if you haven't been is about as pretty as it gets, San Juan mountains everywhere you look. The photographer had us do portraits out in these meadows above the resort and I remember standing there thinking this is taking forever. Then the photos came back and I understood why. That "forever" is why every single shot looks like it belongs on a postcard. The ceremony was under these willow trees in the garden and he caught stuff I completely missed in the moment because I was, you know, kind of busy getting married. My mother crying. Amanda's hands shaking a little. Our friends losing it during the toasts. That's the stuff I actually care about now, not the posed ones. Anyway. If you're a guy reading this wondering if it's worth the money, it is. Book them and stop overthinking it like I did.

    Worth every single penny

Military wedding at the Air Force Academy Chapel and these guys absolutely delivered. That chapel is notoriously hard to shoot, crazy lighting, and somehow our photos came out flawless. The saber arch shots give me chills every time. He was super respectful of all the traditions which meant a lot to my husband especially. Garden of the Gods at sunset after? Unreal. Nelly made the planning painless. 10/10, would do it all over again.

Amazing experience from start to finish

I've been meaning to write this review for weeks and finally sitting down to do it. We got married out at a ranch in the Colorado foothills near Boulder last May and I genuinely cannot say enough good things about our experience with Palms Isles. Let me start with how nervous I was about photos. I'm the kind of person who hates being in front of a camera, always have been, and I was so worried our wedding pictures would come out stiff and awkward like every other photo I've ever taken. Our photographer completely put that fear to rest within like five minutes of meeting us. He didn't bark poses at us or make it feel forced, he just kind of talked to us and let us be ourselves, and somehow that's exactly how he got the shots. When the gallery came back I actually teared up because for the first time in my life I looked like ME, just happy and relaxed. The ranch setting was everything we dreamed of, all golden grass and mountains in the background, and he used every bit of that light. We brought Jack's vintage car for some of the portraits and those ended up being hands down our favorite photos from the whole day. The way the afternoon sun hit everything during golden hour, I still can't get over it. Every single frame looks like it belongs in a magazine. I also want to mention how easy the whole process was from the start. Nelly was our main point of contact leading up to the wedding and she was so responsive and patient with all my questions, and trust me I had a lot of them. Never once felt like we were bothering anyone. If you're getting married anywhere around Boulder or the Front Range, just book them. We are so grateful we did. These photos are something we'll treasure forever.

Our collections start at $1,299 and scale based on hours of coverage, number of shooters, and whether you add video. Most Colorado couples book between $2,500 and $5,500. Because we handle both photo and video in-house, booking them together costs significantly less than hiring two separate companies. Send us your date and we'll get you exact pricing within 24 hours.
Yes. Denver, Boulder, and the Front Range foothills are all part of our core service area. We also regularly shoot Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, Estes Park, Vail, Breckenridge, and Winter Park. For venues that require a longer drive, a travel fee may apply — it's calculated based on your specific location and included upfront in your quote, so you'll always know your full cost before you book. No surprises later.
Light, airy, and true to life. We shoot in natural light, keep posing minimal, and let the day unfold. Colorado's mountain light is dramatic and unforgiving — we know how to work with it rather than fight it. Browse our gallery and you'll see the difference immediately.
Often, yes. Rocky Mountain National Park, Garden of the Gods, and many open space venues require permits for ceremonies and sometimes for commercial photography. Requirements change by location and season. Tell us your venue and we'll confirm what's needed — and we'll never show up somewhere we're not authorized to shoot.
It depends on your collection and how many shooters you book. With two photographers over a full day, you can expect 2,000+ RAW images with several hundred fully edited — your exact edited count is listed in your package. Sneak peeks come first, within days of your wedding, so you have something to post and share while the day is still fresh. Your full gallery follows in 4–5 weeks. Every collection includes the complete RAW gallery alongside your edited set, delivered through a private online gallery you can download, share, and keep forever.
You get a full wedding film of 30–40 minutes plus a cinematic 3–5 minute highlight reel. This is not a highlight-only package — you get the complete ceremony with audio, the toasts, and the moments in between. You choose the music and which speeches make the cut through our Pre-Edit Form.
We assign your team 4–5 weeks before the wedding, once schedules are locked. Once assigned, you'll receive their details and can speak with them directly by phone before the day. Every shooter on our team follows the same equipment standards and shot list, and all editing is done by our in-house editors — so the style you see in our gallery is exactly the style you'll get, regardless of who shoots.
Yes to all three. Additional hours are $199 per shooter, $399 per team. We recommend planning additions in advance so the team arrives with the right gear, but we can usually accommodate same-day requests too.
Yes. We'll issue a COI addressed to your venue and send it either to you or directly to your venue coordinator.
Send us your date through the form on this page. We'll confirm availability, walk you through the collections, and answer anything else you're wondering about. Dates for the Colorado summer and fall seasons book out fast, so the earlier the better.
