From day one of becoming a photographer in 2018 my passion has been documenting things with emotion. How they really feel, not just how they look. And the biggest part of that is helping people feel amazing before, during, and after their photoshoot - the energy I bring and my client experience is my pride and joy, it shows in my work, and I'm excited to hopefully share it with you. I'm so glad you're here! I'm very laid back when it comes to people and very type-a when it comes to systems which means an amazing client experience, quick communication, and crazy fast turnaround times for you.

What sets me apart is...MY CLIENT EXPERIENCE: the energy I bring to weddings and the client experience is my #1. I come with kindness, enthusiasm, and integrate myself into your day. I lead out but keep it fun, laid back, and upbeat. I love helping people feel relaxed, comfortable, and have a great time.     I'll never regret choosing LKP for my wedding day!

    Lauren is absolutely fabulous! She was so personal, on top of things, and professional. She was honest with us in how long things would take, and super speedy with her editing!! Her business is her passion - honestly, she loves the couples she works with! We felt her care for us and for how our wedding celebrations would turn out, and especially that they were documented for us - every step of the way. Lauren is flexible, sweet, and talented. She is always open for wedding or marriage questions and we never had to worry about her being where we needed her when we needed her - so dependable and helpful!! She worked well with our videographer, and charged SUCH an amazing price for such bright and inviting photos (personally, I would have paid more for what we received, especially relooking at the photos 1.5 years later... they are truly priceless and wonderful to have!!) I would use Lauren Kay Photography again in a heartbeat; it was such a good experience for my husband and I.     AWESOME ENGAGEMENTS

    I really loved the experience working with Lauren. She did a great job making us feel excited and natural and the smiles we got in our pictures were genuine and it really turned out amazingly. She was also really fast getting the pictures back to us, which was awesome. We had worked with another photographer as well and we are still waiting on pictures! 100% would recommend Lauren!

    No one better than Lauren Kay Photography

    Lauren was so on top of things when it came to the actual shoot! She came prepared with anything we may need - safety pins, bobby pins, a blanket to set on so my dress wouldn't get dirty, and even feminine products!! She already had poses in mind for us to do and knew what would look good and what wouldn't, but she also encouraged us to be ourselves and caught the most beautiful candid moments. She took into consideration that we wanted pictures up close of us as well as further out to capture the beauty of our surroundings. She made us feel comfortable and there was never an awkward moment. She is so sweet, thoughtful and talented!! The pictures turned out SO so great and I'm more than happy with the results. I would 10/10 recommend Lauren to anyone as their wedding photographer as well as a photographer for other occasions! She is by far the BEST!!

    Photos you'll be OBSESSED with (so fast, so fun)

    Lauren is THE BOMB. She played our favourite songs on her phone while we started taking photos and that really helped us warm up and get comfortable. She made us laugh and smile and just enjoyed the fun and let our relationship be the centre of her universe for a few hours. The turnaround time was soooo quick (I'm not very patient when it comes to this stuff) and my jaw was literally ON THE FLOOR looking through the photos. I couldn't believe that was us. The edits were perfect with the colour and lighting and vibe and everything. I'm just sooo happy we have such perfect moments captured forever and ever. She also gave us like ALL THE PHOTOS to choose from (which is important to me. Variety and options!). I look back at the photos basically daily still #noshame. She will be your bestie so only hire her if you like making new amazing friends and looking like a 10/10 in your engagement photos. She will be your best decision. Trust me.

That's totally okay! I still am directing you the entire time in ways that are relaxed and natural. I get an idea of what type of posing you would be most comfortable with and I always give you as much or as little guidance as you need.
Engagement and bridal sessions are typically around 1-1.5 hours at one location. Two locations can be used if they are close enough to use both with good lighting. You can bring two outfits for engagements. I recommend bringing one casual outfit and one dressier option. Each session will include at least 75+ edited photos in a gorgeous online gallery (but it's honestly way more than that).
I take very few clients so I'm very quick. For sessions no later than 2 weeks and for weddings no later than 4 weeks! Rush services are available at an added cost if requested.
Weddings can be rescheduled if I'm available and your retainer can be applied toward the new date, there may be a contingent fee. The retainer is non-refundable since it takes the date and ability to book another wedding off my calendar and is retained even in the event of cancellation.
Yes! In the online gallery your photos are delivered in, there is an option to purchase professional prints, albums, canvases, and more. They are beautiful and the best quality. I will also give you printing rights and send printing recommendations. And I offer album designing. If you're interested, let me know when you inquire!
No worries! If you don't know what package you need, you can book your date with a general retainer and choose your package before the final payment is due. If you don't know your date, you can also reserve me as your photographer with a general deposit and we'll work together to find a date that works once you know what your timeline looks like.
Typically I shoot solo - I shoot with two cameras so I never miss a beat. If you'd like a second photographer, we can definitely add that to your package. My husband who is trained to shoot in my style or another photographer I trust would accompany me.
I've been booked in as little as a month out to a year out! I do recommend reaching out as soon as you can (even if you're not engaged yet!) because the sooner you reach out the more assistance and recommendations I can offer (vendor recommendations, helping you plan your timeline, etc), but never hesitate to reach out if you're on a short timeline as well!
You can expect at least 60 images per hour of photographing but I promise it's usually much more than that. I edit basically all the images that turn out so it's usually a loooot. I can also do a simplified gallery with only the best if you'd rather keep it simple.
I am more than happy to refer you to my favorite videographers! For now I focus on photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible!
I’ve never had to cancel but in the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I'll send you multiple options of replacement photographers I trust and we can work together to find you the perfect replacement.

I'm so glad you asked! 1) reach out with info you have so far (date, location, timeline, budget, etc.) 2) I'll respond, answer questions, and we'll do a quick video consultation 3) if you decide to book, I'll send a contract and retainer to reserve your date 4) once you're booked, I'll send you my guides (preferred vendors, wedding planning, session prep, and location guides - so much value here) and you'll have voice text access to me during your engagement 5) we'll schedule + do sessions 6) a month before I'll send a questionnaire and final payment is due 7) your wedding!!
