HELLO THERE! I’m Jen! A Portrait, Wedding, and Real Estate photographer located in the beautiful Northern California area. With many years of experience and a consistent style; I deliver images that are radiant, joyful, and everlasting. But even more than the photos I deliver, I believe that my clients deserve the BEST photographic EXPERIENCE possible. I am a mom and step-mom to four beautiful children and am a devoted wife to Matt (who is also my second shooter on wedding days as a matter of fact!). I’m so excited that you stopped by, I would love to learn more about you!

I love to build relationships with our couples and not just be another wedding vendor, but rather a vendor that cares about them! I start that process by asking several questions during the initial inquiry and that starts building that foundation. I want my couples to have the best photographic experience possible! I also gift my brides an 84-page Bridal Guide to help them in their planning process.

    Absolute BEST Wedding Photographer

    My husband and I recently had the privilege of working along Jen and her husband Matt as our wedding photographers. A week before our wedding, we received some unfortunate news that our original photographer was no longer able to shoot our wedding, based on an unfortunate situation. Immediately, she reassured me that we would be in the best hands with Jen Peterson Photography. As you can imagine, that's a lot to take in so close to your wedding day, but as soon as I spoke to Jen on the phone (whom I've never met), all my nerves slipped away! It was as though I had known her for years. She truly is the most kindhearted, genuine, and uplifting person I've ever had a chance to work with! The fact the her and Matt graciously agreed to shoot our wedding, no questions asked and so last minute, speaks of their character. Fast forward to our wedding, they far exceeded every expectation we had! From wrangling in two extended families, to dealing with the sweltering summer heat, nothing stopped them. Throughout the entire day, she made sure EVERY photo was perfect. Also, I can honestly say that in all the weddings I've attended, I never witnessed a photographer mingle amongst the guests to take their photo's to help the bride and groom relive their special day. While we were eating, Jen and Matt choose to take a break, instead, they captured so many wonderful, memorable photos of our guests that I am forever grateful for! Small details such as those are things you don't think to ask for, but they they took the initiative, and for that, I can not thank them enough. After our wedding, I was equally as impressed by how quickly Jen submitted our proofs to us. Upon reviewing them, EVERY single moment of our day was captured. I definitely bring along a second photographer with me on the wedding days and that person is typically my husband, Matt! It doesn't cost you any extra at all and helps ensure we deliver even more memorable images to you!
Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I also offer retouching services like blemish removal and teeth whitening for an additional charge.
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
I love to post a sneak peek image shortly after your special day! Then I love to feature my couples on my blog. The blog post typically is up within 2-3 weeks of your special day and you should expect to see the online gallery within 8 weeks of the wedding day.
The sooner the better to ensure I'm available for your date! I have a limited number of weddings I accept per year so reach out as quickly as you can and we'll check the calendar!
You can expect about 75 to 100 images per hour of shooting. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.
I prefer focusing on photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible. But we do have some limited video capabilities and can look into options for you if needed.
Our contract is super clear on this issue. We will do everything we can within our power to photograph your wedding. But in the event of some crazy circumstance, I have a wonderful community of photographer friends that we can reach out to. I love open communication, so don't worry, if something ever came up we would work out a solution for you!
