About Jamie Hardin Photography

Jamie Hardin Photography

Owner, Lead Photographer

I’m an artist first and a Houston wedding photographer second. I capture moody, authentic masterpieces in Houston, College Station, Texas, and beyond. I’m not here for the cookie-cutter moments or the fake smiles. I’m here for the belly laughs, the tears and the tender moments with your family. As an ally, inclusivity is important to me. I welcome and advocate for all couples.

I will go the extra mile to make sure your day not only runs smoothly but that you have the best time at your wedding. I will make sure you’re on schedule and have a drink in your hand whenever you want one.

We found Jamie while searching for queer-affirming wedding photographers. As a gay couple, we knew we needed a professional who is comfortable capturing expressions of love across a broad spectrum. As Jamie’s portfolio proves, she is well practiced at this. Jamie is a committed ally to our community who does her research and ensures that she does business only with venues and vendors who do not discriminate against queer clients. Beyond that, here’s what makes her an excellent photographer: (1) she is warm and deeply kind, which is crucial to putting her clients at ease and eliciting natural displays of love in an inherently unnatural situation (i.e., cuddling and smooching on cue); (2) she gives direction with a great sense of humor—we will never forget some of her hilariously memorable tips (e.g., watch out for “T-Rex arms”); (3) she is willing to take charge, which is necessary for corralling and posing groups of family and friends while sticking to a schedule; and (4) she is an artist with great care for her craft—she captured our space beautifully and absolutely nailed the blended look of modern and traditional we were going for. We will recommend her to everyone we know who needs to commemorate life’s milestones with a professional photographer, and whenever we have another milestone to commemorate, she is the first person we’ll call. In the meantime, we hope to see her again at the finish line of the Houston Marathon!
