Holman Photography is a boutique studio in Northern California. Jody specializes in wedding (of ALL types and sizes) and portrait photography in an editorial style to capture the more organic and authentic moments. She makes clients feel at ease in front of her lens and has an unobtrusive, laid-back style. She is professional and result-focused so you can enjoy your day, and not worry about the photography. Her work has been published in many online sites, books and magazines. I also believe you should like your photographer; so let's meet! I want you to be excited!

Photography is one of the few lasting souvenirs you will have from your big day, but it is the last thing you should have to worry about during the hustle and bustle! With over 20 years of experience, I will help you have a worry-free day, a beautiful product to last for years to come, and all the attention you need! I am casual yet professional, friendly yet serious about the quality of my deliverables, and experienced yet open minded. My pricing is transparent and I aim to over deliver every time. I take only one wedding client a month in order that I might give each client all of my attention. I also take your privacy very seriously.

    Everything we wanted and more~

    Jody is the most amazing wedding photographer EVER. There were so many incredible pictures – too many to choose from so we ordered them all! Our pictures were truly pieces of art, not just photos. Jody was very professional and walked through what was important to us before the wedding so she was sure to capture all the shots we wanted. She was great with the parents and grandparents. So many of my friends have said to me “I wish I knew your photographer when we got married, she did such an unbelievable job”. Her photojournalist style captured our love in every picture and documented the joy in our family and friends who celebrated with us.

    Jody is your gal, worth every penny!

    We did a lot of research before selecting our photographer, and Jody met every requirement we came up with. She understood our vision, and captured the spirit of each moment perfectly. She was fun and relaxed, and blended into the mix of people so that we really didn't notice having our picture taken constantly. Every single shot was included in our package, so we could immediately upload our favorites to share with friends and family. She also gave us gifts (I won't spoil the surprise and say what) that allowed us to have beautiful hard copies of some of the best shots before we make up our minds (which is going to take a long time). Typically, couples book me about a year before their wedding date, especially for a destination wedding which might require that I travel. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, though I realize smaller weddings and elopements may have shorter time frames.
I typically work alone, but am happy to chat about the size and schedule for your day and how we might be most budget aware. Sometimes an 8 hour shooting day is not necessary, and typically I do not require a second shooter, but we can explore the options. I love doing 1-hour City Hall shoots as well as destination, multi-day events.
Yes, all final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. You will also have 1 hour of custom, post-production editing of up to 20 images for any specific, additional edits you may have. I aim to deliver within four weeks of your event, but usually it is closer to two weeks.
No, I prefer focusing on photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible. But I would love to meet your videographer so we can coordinate our shooting and make sure WE are not in your photos!
My turnaround time is typically about two weeks, though depending on the length of your day, may be shorter (or longer- up tp 4 weeks total) . I will deliver you some "sneak peeks" within a few days, however, so you may share some of your photos.
You can expect about 50 to 100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on the schedule for your day. We will discuss the details as you plan!
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
In my 20 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never had to cancel a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding,I’ll provide you with a list of photographers I believe will match your style and whose work I admire, so you can find the perfect replacement.
