Photography quickly became my passion when I was in search of finding something that truly makes me feel like I have a purpose. I grew tired of the ritual of ‘work’ and dug deep to search for something that showcases my compassion and empathetic connection with others. As a Christian-based photography company, our values guide every photograph we take, ensuring that each image reflects the beauty and significance of your special moments.     Great photographer

    From the moment we booked HMJ Photography for our wedding, the communication was fast, affective, and incredibly personable. I've had couples book me two years in advance, and I've also been asked to capture a wedding the same day. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.
Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they reflect my best work. I do not deliver any images in RAW format unless discussed previously.
You can expect about 50 edited images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, stacked reception timeline, and other factors.
In my experience as a professional photographer, I’ve never canceled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant at the same rate or less. Any associate to fill my position would be introduced to you via phone call, zoom, or in person to make sure the transition is as seamless as possible. HMJ Photography is held to a very high standard, and we ensure the best for our clients even in an act of God.
YES! I have a very detailed shot list to try and make the planning process as stress free as possible for you. This helps customize your wedding day and ensures I capture all of the special moments that mean the most to you & then some! I'm always open to any ideas / wants my clients have to make the memories as traditional or unique as they'd like!
No worries at all - I can build a custom package to accommodate you! Please reach out to me so we can chat details and find out what works best for you! This can mean various photographers or videographers, coverage amounts, digital and print options and more!
I service up to a 45 mile radius from downtown San Antonio Texas. I do offer my services all over Texas and I charge a fair rate to cover travel and accommodations depending on where your event is. I honor the IRS standard travel rates for businesses at $.70 / mile. Any events that require overnight accommodation will also include a rate for a nearby hotel. If an associate is hired, this rate gets doubled to accommodate their travel as well.
Absolutely! Because HMJ Photography is held to such a high standard, we also expect the best from all other vendors in the wedding industry. Theres nothing worse than a catering company not showing up the day of your wedding or the DJ forgetting to play the song you've envisioned walking down the aisle to. Trust me, we've seen it all! We have an amazing list of preferred vendors if you're stuck trying to find great quality and professionalism. We have recommended DJ's, Coordinators, Mobile bar / snack options, decorators, florists, HMUA, and more! Chat with us about how partnering with one of our preferred vendors can save you money!
Yes, Yes, Yes! We love assisting with timelines to make sure it includes all of your special details the day of your wedding. Let's sit down and chat about every details big and small to make sure there is time allotted for it! As I tell all my clients, so many are caught up in the social norm for what YOUR wedding should include. THIS IS SO NOT THE CASE! Include events that mean the most to YOU and make it the best night of your life! Don't feel comfortable with a garter toss? Don't include it!
