My name is Jia, I am a lover of Seafood, Peking Duck, and Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Lattes. I also love to see people smile. I believe that all smiles are contagious, this is why I chose wedding photography: it magically makes me smile more. I love the warm sunlight and true emotions from both the bride and the groom. Now looking back, I am really thankful that clients appreciate my artistic vision more than my professional equipment. PS: Personally, I’d avoid the moon but I am more than happy to photograph you anywhere on earth. :)

    Best Photographer!

    We truly cannot recommend Jia enough! He first photographed our engagement session in NYC and then, a year later, captured our wedding day. Having him there for both of these huge milestones made the experience even more special. From the very beginning, Jia was incredibly communicative, flexible, creative, and so easy to work with. What stood out to us most was how much time and thought he put into making our photos feel personal to us. He took the time to get to know us, understand what we envisioned, and incorporate little details and ideas that made our photos feel unique to our relationship rather than staged or generic. We absolutely LOVE Jia’s work and our photos. He has such a talent for capturing not only the big moments, but all of the little candid moments and details that made these days so special.     Truly the Best!!!

    Jia is the absolute BEST!!!! Not only is he a talented photographer but he brings the best vibes!!! His photos are stunning and the memories he makes with his couples are just as incredible. Jia really gets to know his couples and specializes each shoot to capture the essence of what makes their love special.     Best photographer!

    If you need one less thing to worry about on your wedding day, pick Jia as your photographer.  I am an anxious person by nature and very self conscious about photos but Jia helped us every step of the way. That awkward arm you don’t know what to do with? Jia will guide you and get the perfect shot. Everyone at our wedding had nothing but amazing things to say as well. The energy and professionalism he brings is unmatched!

    Best photographer!

    ​From the very beginning, working with Jia was an absolute dream. We started out having a really fun time doing our engagement shoot, which perfectly set a relaxed, exciting tone for the wedding day itself. He is incredibly creative, fun, and so naturally easy-going that he immediately put everyone at ease. ​What we loved most about his style was how seamlessly he captured the day. Aside from the organized family photos before the ceremony—which were smooth and stress-free—the vast majority of his shots were completely candid. He has a brilliant eye for capturing genuine, emotional, and hilarious moments without making anything feel forced or over-staged. ​On top of being an insanely talented professional, he brought the absolute best energy to our reception. Jia was right out there hitting the dance floor with killer moves while still nailing every single shot! In my 12 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.
You can expect about 60 to 100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.
My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 3-4 weeks after your wedding. Within this time, you can also expect to receive an online gallery with high-resolution image files, so you can share the photos with your loved ones and order prints.
Yes, we can discuss this over our initial phone call, we will guide you through our options.
Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I also offer retouching services like blemish removal and teeth whitening for an additional charge.
Typically, couples book me about 12 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.
