Traveling has taught me the importance of capturing all the important - big and small - moments to look back on years later. I love capturing those truly candid moments. The kind of photos that put you right back in the moment five, ten, fifty years later. I'm a Southern California-based photographer that will travel wherever you want to document your love! I'm constantly exploring in my hiking boots with laid-back couples that want to capture genuine moments about their relationship. When I'm not taking pictures, you can usually find me hanging out with my people, hiking, watching sitcoms, or taking a spontaneous trip.
Whether you choose to have an elopement or to have a wedding, your big day is meant to be a whole experience, not just a photoshoot. I'm a huge believer in celebrating your marriage whether that's saying your vows on the cliffs of Ireland or in your backyard. No matter where you choose to go and what you choose to do, "epic" locations or trails don't have to be included. Adventure does NOT equal hiking or mountains. Adventure is whatever you want it to be. I'm just here to tell you that I'm here to help you make sure you have the day of your dreams, no matter what that looks like.

Elopements
Minimum of 1 hour of coverage || An elopement is an amazing option if you're wanting to celebrate your marriage just the 2 of you or with close family and friends. I'm a BIG believer that you still deserve a full-day celebration even if you're eloping-- whether that's eloping on the cliffs of Ireland, in your backyard, hiking a mountain, at a brewery with friends, or relaxing on the beach. Brilliant Photos - Amazing Person!

Emily's fantastic personality and flexibility with timelines made the collaboration seamless. WILL SURPASS ANY EXPECTATIONS YOU THINK YOU HAVE
I'm not even sure where to begin! We met Emily in 2022, when my now husband and I got engaged in the Outer Banks. Leading up to our engagement shoot, we were both anxious expecting to feel uncomfortable and out of place in front of a professional camera lens for the first time. After meeting Emily, that awkwardness lasted about 2 minutes flat, and soon found ourselves not only feeling comfortable, but truly having a blast with it. Between changing locations, we grabbed coffee and bagels where we spent time chatting and getting to know Emily, discovering many similarities between our families, talking about our dogs and so much more. While shooting at our second location, a gorgeous botanical garden none of us had ever been to, it truly felt as if we were just there to explore and that Emily was our childhood friend who happened to just have a camera with her taking photos and not at all that we had just met her earlier that morning. By the end of our day together, before even seeing a single photo from our shoot, we were already discussing flying her out to NY to shoot our wedding and months later, the minute we decided on a date, we hired Emily again. Working with Emily to plan our photography portion of the wedding was truly the easiest part of the entire wedding planning process for us. She was extremely helpful and organized, asking questions, giving suggestions and creating a detailed timeline based on what was important to us, but what stood out the most was that she was genuinely passionate about making the day as enjoyable for us as possible. She showed us this by going above and beyond in ways such as offering help and resources completely unrelated to photography, doing her own research, creating polls on her social media platforms to help answer our questions, reaching out to her own personal contacts, sending helpful questionnaires, answering late night texts and emails and beyond. Our calls with her always put me at ease during such a hectic time and turned my anxiety into excitement. Leading up to our wedding, Emily continued to often reach out just to simply check on us and see if she could offer a helping hand (beyond the million ways she already had) which stood out immensely to us. The day of our wedding, having Emily with us was truly like having a lifelong friend there to get ready together. Something so special about her is the way she has mastered the balance between bringing a presence of excitement and a sense of calming to the day. She is able to get the photos necessary without an overbearing energy which many of our friends and family observed as well, mentioning how they wish their own wedding photographers were more like her. We received much praise from our families and friends but also our other vendors as well, for how well she worked with them and how kind and easy it was to spend the day with her. She was not just our photographer, she was a pillar of our day. When you hire Emily, you are really hiring a passionate, down to earth, genuine and professional person who happens to also be an incredibly talented photographer. Sharing two of the most special moments of our lives so far with Emily has been such a blessing. We are so excited to continue to hire Emily for all of our next chapters in life. She has become a dear friend of ours and love any reason to work with her we can get! You will not regret hiring her!

She had so many different ideas with poses and backgrounds that it never felt awkward! She truly made us feel like naturals in front of the camera. Emily knows the photos you want before you do
I officiated a wedding in Asheville NC, and working beside her was easily accomplished. She watched as I swayed in and out of the photos for the couple so she could get the perfect shots we both knew that the couple wanted. We made eye contact and communicated through head knods knowing what was expected next. I've officiated so many weddings that it was great to have someone prepared for they knew what and when I was going to do it. Best of all, although it was a VERY cold morning, the couple threw a curve ball and asked her if they could take a trip up the Smokey Mountains for a few extra photos. Without hesitation, she said..sure! She shared photos with me and because I was officiating the wedding and sent the previews to me for MY portfolio! Great vendor to work with and a professional that I would hire for myself.
