Do you shoot destination weddings?

We are lovers of travel and adventure and have valid passports. At this time, we only open our calendar to 3 destination weddings and sessions a year. However, if we are traveling for leisure or for other business, we sometimes open our schedule for additional sessions at that location. Question 2

Do you charge extra for travel?

Travel within a 75-mile radius of Steubenville, OH is included in our standard collections. If your wedding or engagement session is outside that range, additional travel charges apply. For destination weddings, we offer the Beyond Collection, which has travel built into the price.

Question 3

Do you work with assistants or other photographers?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Though I typically shoot alone, I do have a dedicated second shooter. Coverage by a second shooter is available as an add-on service at $150/hour.

Question 4

Can I extend the hours the day of the wedding?

Accepted Answer

Of course! Our a la carte hourly rate for weddings is $550.

Question 5

Do I have to order prints through you?

Accepted Answer

While we always advise that you order your prints through our professional lab, we do provide a print release so that you can have prints made elsewhere. However, we cannot take responsibility for the quality of prints made through outside print services.

Can I customize my package?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! We offer boutique collections that are completely customizable. If you need more or fewer hours, we can create a package that fits your unique needs. You can even upgrade your package by adding on second shooters, sessions, or products. We offer a wide variety of prints and albums by WHCC.

Question 7

Do you have insurance?

Accepted Answer

We do! As a registered, tax-paying business, we carry insurance through Hill & Usher. Just let us know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and we'll send that over to them.

Question 8

How far in advance should we book you for our wedding?

Accepted Answer

For weddings, most couples book approximately 6 to 12 months in advance, and some book as early as 2 years out. If you want to guarantee that we're available for your big wedding, we recommend booking as soon as possible. Elopements tend to be more flexible with dates, however, we still ask you to contact us as soon as possible to start planning your elopement with us.

Will you edit all our pictures?

Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. We perform more detailed skin retouching on the couple's portraits. More extensive editing services are available at an additional rate.

Question 10

Do you also offer video services?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Our brand-new videography service is available for a limited time at a special portfolio-building rate. You can book as a single service or as an add on to our photography collections.

Question 11

How long will it take to see our pictures?

Accepted Answer

We prepare a small preview of 10-20 images two days after your wedding. This is either posted on our Facebook page or emailed directly to you. Our full gallery turnaround time varies by season, however we promise gallery delivery in 8 weeks.

Question 12

How many pictures will we get?

Accepted Answer

You can expect about 75-100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.

Question 13

What’s your back-up plan if you can’t photograph our wedding as planned?

Accepted Answer

I've never canceled a booking in my 10 years of experience as a wedding photographer. In the very rare event that I'm unable to photograph your wedding, I'll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my assistant or provide you with a list of photographers from my many networking groups, so you can find the perfect replacement.

Question 14

I'm ready to book. What's the next step?

Accepted Answer

For weddings, you will need to sign a contract and pay a retainer of 30% the package total. We can meet in person for this or we can send you the documents via e-mail. The remaining balance will be due 30 days out from your event, which can be paid all at once or split into a payment plan.
