Hi! My name is Cheryl Cole and I am the lead photographer for Cheryl Cole Photography. I have been shooting weddings, both digital and film for the past three years, traveling all over the country capturing love! I am your ideal hype woman. I am passion-driven, down for anything, love people and especially love photographing love. When you hire me, I am not just your wedding photographer. I am with you through every step of the process. I am commenting on your Pinterest board at 2AM, I am diving into a waterfall to get the perfect shot, I am cheering you on when you are dirty dancing with your partner.

You are hiring a best friend who happens to absolutely LOVE photography. I have been considered a "bridesmaid with a camera". My unbridled excitement and passion for what I do, added with my almost obsessive attention to detail, truly makes me stand apart. Something that separates me from other photographers is my partner, Will. He is technically my "Second Shooter", but he is a professional in his own right so when hiring Cheryl Cole Photography, you are actually hiring two professional photographers who have photographed +100 weddings together. Instead of hiring a second for the day of, we work together as one unit.

    Working with Cheryl is easily our #1 wedding regret. CCP says she takes only a few weddings annually to provide exceptional service and photography; we received neither and regret trusting her with such a significant event. Before we received our album, CCP asked to submit our wedding to publications. We agreed, thinking we’d be told what would be shared. There was no follow-up. Our wedding was published with 100 photos, the majority we'd never seen (our preview was 20) and did not want online. We received our album at the 4-month deadline and were immediately disappointed. Despite our guidance and mood boards, CCP oversold her ability to execute our vision. Many photos were awkward/unflattering (eyes closed, squinting, mid-expression). We received no altar photos, no bridal portraits, and almost no couple shots where both our faces were clearly visible and flattering. I didn’t receive a complete bridal party photo or a photo with my (co) maid of honor. Family and friends’ reactions were consistently negative, with several saying it looked amateur. After a few weeks, we emailed tactful, specific feedback. Soon after, we had a death in the family and paused emails for 1 month. During that time, CCP never checked in, followed up, or made any edits. When we reached back out, it took 3–4 more weeks to get any acknowledgment. Over the next 3.5 months, CCP repeatedly ghosted us for 3–4 weeks at a time, ignoring emails, calls, and texts, and later admitted (by text and on a call) it was purposeful. This was especially frustrating because she posts on Instagram about responding to emails. During one stretch when we tried to reach her by call, text, email, and voicemail over several days with no response, she posted an Instagram story praising a message from another client... using the same phone she was ignoring us on. Frankly disturbing behavior from someone we invited into such an intimate day. We were ignored until my husband DM’d her partner on Instagram saying we’d been ghosted and would post a public review if we couldn’t get a response - the only lever we had to get our own photographer to acknowledge us. CCP finally texted admitting she ghosted us due to anxiety. To meet ASAP, we took a 7 a.m. call. It was painfully unprofessional: she cried repeatedly, said she handled it “entirely wrong,” and could not regulate her emotions. She also admitted she knew we didn’t get couple portraits and would typically offer a makeup shoot, but assumed we wouldn’t want one...? She promised a revised album by 1/1/26 (7 months after our wedding). When it arrived, she sent only an automated link with no explanation. The album did not reflect the promised revisions. She never responded again, despite our repeated attempts to resolve this privately, and ignored our request for a partial refund, even after acknowledging she would normally offer follow-on services given the lack of couple portraits. We spent 8K and 7 months in an exhausting chase for a final album that fell painfully short. For the rates CCP charges, the quality of both the product and client experience were alarmingly misaligned.

    Cheryl is by far the best wedding photographer! She is highly trained and her style is impeccable! For our wedding we had her for our an engagement photoshoot, bridal photoshoot, rehearsal dinner and wedding day. She also shot our engagement party. She captured our style perfectly and brought an artsy element to the photos, which makes them so unique. The best part about Cheryl is her personality. She has a calming effect on everyone around her and makes them feel comfortable in front of the camera. She will be your extra bridesmaid, fix your hair if you need and calm the nerves by making you feel beautiful! A little past a year after our wedding, we asked Cheryl to photograph our maternity photos. It was such a special moment, that we will remember forever and have photos to cherish the moment. If you are looking for someone to capture the most important days of your life, you found the girl.

    Hiring Cheryl to handle our wedding weekend photography was, hands down, one of our best decisions leading up to the big day. Throughout the months leading up to our wedding, she was communicative, understanding, collaborative, and responsive. On the weekend itself, she and her partner, Will, were a nice addition of consistency and patience in a day that threw us more than a few curveballs. Their attention to detail, artistic vision, and genuine sense of adventure and fun made us confident that they had the pictures all under control. Having now received those pictures, we can unequivocally say that Cheryl is more than worth her weight in gold. We now have photos of not only ourselves and our family, but also of every single guest at our wedding, candids and portraits alike, that we will treasure for the rest of our lives. From rehearsal dinner to afterparty, she captured every detail with a thoughtful and fun loving gaze. Her joy and love for her craft comes through in every image. You can tell that she puts as much effort into the editing and curation of the gallery as she does in preparing for the day. We truly cannot recommend Cheryl Cole Photography enough. If you’re reading this, just book them already.
