Amanda initially seemed like a great choice. She had worked with family members and others in the community, and her reviews were positive. Our actual wedding day experience was wonderful — she and her second photographer were present the entire night, and everything felt great in the moment. Unfortunately, the issues began with communication and delivery. During our engagement session, there was confusion about details because she had been messaging someone else thinking it was me. I didn’t know the location or time until just a few days before. When it came time to receive the mini engagement photos, I was given multiple promised delivery dates — “by the end of the day,” then “by the end of the week” — and they ultimately arrived 15 days later. Looking back, the repeated missed deadlines and lack of communication continued throughout the entire process. Our wedding was September 13th. The contract states that all photos would be delivered within 8 weeks. It has now been six months, and I still have very few of my wedding photos. Since October, I’ve been given multiple new deadlines — photos promised by the end of the week, then in two weeks, then another new date, and another. Each deadline has passed without delivery. On February 1st, I was promised my photos and a refund within 7 days. As of now, I have not received either, and my messages have gone unanswered. This has been incredibly disappointing and emotional. These are once-in-a-lifetime memories, and not having them — along with the continued lack of communication — has been extremely stressful. I’ve tried addressing the communication concerns directly many times, but nothing has changed. At this point, I’m having to consider legal action to resolve the situation. I truly hope this gets resolved. That said, I’m sharing my experience so that any couple, individual, or family looking to capture a special moment can make a fully informed decision and ensure clear expectations and communication are firmly established from the start.
