    The best choice!

    If you are thinking of hiring Laura as your officiant let this be your sign to just do it! She was there for us every step of the way..even times we didn't know we needed it. From our first phone call to reading our vows at the alter and through every single step she helped us in ways that we couldn't even imagine. She is thoughtful, super attentive to detail and completely goes above and beyond before, during and after the entire process. She is kind and relatable and truly made us feel at ease the whole time. Laura we are forever grateful for you making our ceremony so special and putting your own twist on things.

    Amazing addition to our wedding

    Laura hands down is the best

    Hands down the BEST officiant in DE! Laura guided us every step of the way from the moment we booked with her and was one call away for any question or concern. I was ordained in 2018. During covid wedding did not happen, however since 2022 I have been extremely busy, doing over 55 weddings a year while working at my full time job with a school district.
You certainly can. I encourage it. I like to create fully custom scripts unique to you. I love to tell your story through your introduction. Allow everyone to get to know you both, how did you meet and how did you get engaged. I want people to feel relaxed and part of your day.
I can certainly be a part of your rehearsal, however that is an additional price. I do like to connect with the wedding coordinator and find out how they like to conduct rehearsals and how they work with officiants in attendance at the rehearsal. This is a collaborative effort. We both want you to be comfortable and feeling good about how your day will go.
I have you covered. In my welcome email to you, I created a series of helpful documents giving you many suggestions on vows exchanges, ring exchanges and readings. I have a plethora of ideas.
I am different than most officiants. I keep in touch with you every month with texts asking how you are, is there anything I can do to help you, or sometimes it is just letting you know that I am thinking of you and maybe even send you a funny pic of my choc lab Tank to make you laugh.
I sure do. During our initial call, I discuss the wedding licenses in details depending on the state you are getting married in. I also offer 2 month and 1 month reminders to help you remember to get the license. At the final call, I ask if you want me to mail the license off or if you will drop it back off, in which time, you can get your registered copies of your license.

Just like any other wedding vendors, I encourage you to book your officiant sooner rather than later. That gives you the peace of mind that the person who is legalizing your marriage is taken care of. Not only that, but you are not waiting till last minute to find someone. Officiants are very busy and some of us are just one person and can only be at one place at one time. Plus we may also have full time jobs.
My answer is NO. They are not professionals and do not know the rules of each state regarding licenses, filling them out and getting them back in the timeframe allotted before penalties apply. Also, if your friend or family member messes up, or doesn't know how to write a ceremony, how does that tarnish your relationship. As professionals, we know the business and work hard for couples.
I always dress to maintain professionalism. My colors of choice or Navy, Black, dark Grey. If a couple has a specific ask, I try to comply with their request. Most cases, I an wearing a dress, suit or pantsuit.
