I’m one of those people who loves love. Not the dramatic, rom-com “will they won’t they” type of love, but the type of love that sustains decades of life together as partners. For the last 10+ years, I’ve put that passion into my work as a marriage therapist. I’ve seen inside so many marriages, and I truly value what it means to live that commitment. I want your wedding ceremony to feel like it captures who you are, what you mean to each other, and the heart of the promise you’re making. It’s a big, beautiful commitment! It would be an honor for me to be a part of sharing your love story with those who have gathered to celebrate with you.

I work with all couples who have made the decision to choose one another–your uniqueness will be honored! Together, we’ll find a way to create a ceremony that represents the emotion and the beliefs that ground your decision to take this step as a couple. I’m warm, easy-going, and well-organized. Once you book your date with me, I will keep track of the steps we all need to take to ensure that your wedding isn’t just beautiful but also legal and handled properly. Perfect for elopements or as an alternative to a ceremony held at the Courthouse. Hold your wedding ceremony in a lovely place, get as dressed up as you'd like, bring a photographer, invite the folks who matter the most, and have the simple wedding you want! Best for ceremonies that do not require a rehearsal or personalized scripting, or for those who would prefer no ceremony at all!

Pre-Marital Counseling

Description

Complete relationship assessment and two 60-minute counseling sessions geared toward understanding the strengths and growth areas for your relationship. The research-based Gottman assessment measures five key relationship areas: friendship and intimacy, sex and passion, conflict management, shared meaning, and trust and commitment. Our follow up counseling sessions will provide targeted support for strengthening your bond.

    Wonderful Experience

    Amazing!

    Nicole was amazing from start to finish! She really made sure I felt secure and was open to every last minute change. She was very accommodating and had several suggestions whenever asked. She acted as an advisor to a very unsure bride, and at the end of the day, everything went very smoothly!

Yes! First, we'll have a meeting where I get to know you both a bit and learn about your love story and your preferences for your ceremony. From there, I'll draft several options for each section of the ceremony that I feel reflect the two of you and you can choose your favorites. Second, you are welcome to shape the ceremony any way you wish by including rituals or readings that are particularly meaningful to the two of you. The ceremony draft will be as collaborative as you'd like it to be along the way!
Yes, rehearsals are included and I really prefer to be able to attend them! However, if your wedding is on a weekday, my work schedule can make attending the rehearsal difficult. Please let me know if that's the case for your wedding and we'll come up with a solid plan!
Oh yes! There's no limit on how many times you're allowed to say "I do" to the love of your life. Let's make this time extra special!
I do offer premarital counseling, but it is not required. If you do choose to engage in some premarital counseling, just know you're in good hands. In my day job, I'm a full-time marriage therapist!
My shortest ceremony so far has been 5 minutes--but if you want to try to beat that record, let's go for it! In order for your marriage to be legal, I'll just need to hear your declaration of intent and you'll have to let me pronounce you married, but other than that, it's all your call what we include!
