Beauty holds different meanings to each individual while it craves different desires and needs. I investigate allergies, inspirations, and needs in longevity and wear. I have 15 years of hands on education & experience. I only use clean, designer, & efficient brands that I am proud of that represent all ages, all religions, all sexes, and all races.     A Wedding Day Nightmare

    I had an extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience working with this makeup artist. She hired me as a makeup artist to assist at a wedding, but she failed to provide any information about the bride’s makeup. She never shared the trial photos, never explained the desired look, and gave me no instructions whatsoever. To make matters worse, she never showed up on the wedding day. The bride spent the entire morning in tears because the makeup artist she had booked simply didn’t arrive. I had to step in and do the bride’s makeup with no preparation or guidance to make sure her wedding day wasn’t completely ruined. After the wedding, she disappeared and refused to pay me for my work. She also failed to pay the hairstylist she had hired for the same wedding. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. Failing to communicate, abandoning a bride on her wedding day, and refusing to pay the professionals you hire is completely unethical. I would strongly caution anyone considering working with or booking this makeup artist. My experience was stressful, unfair, and incredibly disappointing.

    Stood up on my wedding day

    My wedding day was ruined by Velvet and Venus. The owner never showed up and didn't communicate with me at all, leaving me to figure out what was happening on my own. She sent a backup team instead, but they were communicating with her while ignoring me completely. When I asked what happened, the backup team told me there was no emergency—she simply couldn't be bothered to show up. They were so upset about the situation that they told me they won't work for her again. I cannot recommend this business to anyone.

    Ghosted us

    We booked Velvet And Venus for our wedding day and were left in a terrible situation when the owner completely ghosted us. Instead of showing up herself, she sent junior staff members without any notice or explanation. When we tried to reach out, there was no emergency, no apology, and no response—she simply disappeared. This left us extremely stressed on what should have been one of the best days of our lives. The lack of professionalism and communication was completely unacceptable. Do not book this business.

    Absolutely amazing!

    I can confidently say that I chose the BEST makeup artist and stylist for my wedding! From our first conversation, Ari was extremely professional, honest, and genuine, which made me trust her completely. I have a hectic work schedule and she was very flexible with booking. On the day of the rehearsal dinner and the wedding, she totally made me feel at ease and blended herself perfectly with the rest of my wedding party. She's punctual, extremely knowledgeable, and clearly a professional in her craft. I know that I can be picky and she over-delivered, keeping in mind my preferences and my vision for the day. My hair and makeup lasted throughout the entire wedding and afterparty without budging. She also did flawless makeup and hair on my mother in law and my mom, which was very impressive given the wide variety of skin types and age groups. I can't say enough good things about Ari and can't wait for my photos to come back because I know she made me look amazing! If you are looking to book, don't hesitate!

    20/10 Would Recommend!

    I got my makeup done professionally for the first time for my best friend’s wedding and it was beautiful! Ari was so kind and she definitely knew what she was doing. She even took the time to walk me through her ART process. She also saved the day in more ways than one. I couldn’t recommend her enough!
