Veronica Oquendo is a licensed Cosmetologist & educator specializing in makeup artistry. Veronica has worked as the lead artist for brands like Makeup For Ever and Mac Cosmetics. She has been in the the beauty industry practicing both hair and makeup for over 10 years. Currently she is running V Glamorous Artistry and working as a full-time freelance makeup artist.

    Veronica had a communication style that started off well during the pre-booking and trial phases but then became standoffish as the wedding got closer. I didn’t love the trial and I explained why and she said she’d make my requested changes. On the day the quality of her work was okay I sent tons of inspo and communicated what I wanted multiple times but still had to have her change things on the day to get closer to what I wanted. My hair lasted very well but the eye makeup started creasing early on and honestly in photos my makeup didn’t really pop the way I hoped it would, I felt how I feel when I do my own makeup for a regular day just with lashes. She didn’t even do the collarbone highlight she has advertised in the package. It really wasn't worth what I paid for the services especially because she made me pay for an additional artist or else she’d make me start the schedule at 3AM. (Of course she waited until right before the wedding day to tell me that) Then on the day everyone else was ready super early, so she ended up sending the other two artists home even though I wasn’t even close to being ready, she decided to do both my hair and makeup by herself which made me late for my own ceremony. The beginning of my wedding was stolen from me because I was late and I spent it anxious and nauseated instead of happy and excited. I didn’t even have time for bridal portraits, I have very few photos because my photographer showed up on time and I was running so behind. And to top it off, the chair she brought had a rigged up footrest that fell off when my sister put her feet on it, and the artist made a big fuss about possibly charging me for it. She did not end up charging me but to shame my sister and freak me out on my wedding day just was not professional. The whole experience really put a damper on the vibes of our special day. I was between hiring for makeup to take the stress off myself and doing it myself if I could go back I’d buy myself tons of fancy makeup and brushes and do it myself because it turns out I was stressed anyway.

    V Glamorous Artistry was an absolute delight to work with for our wedding. Their communication was amazing - they were so helpful and responsive, always getting back to us quickly. The quality of their work was incredible, making me feel absolutely beautiful on our special day. The team's artistry was truly amazing, and they helped make me look and feel my best. I cannot recommend V Glamorous Artistry enough to any couple planning their wedding. They were an integral part of making our day perfect.

    Veronica and her Co-artist Sam were absolutely amazing to work with for my wedding day. As the makeup artist, Veronica and her co-artist had everyone in my bridal party looking and feeling flawless. Their work was elegant, flawless, and showcased their incredible talent. Veronica made my bridal party and mother-of-the-bride feel absolutely amazing throughout the day. I can't wait to book V Glamorous Artistry again in the future!

    Veronica’s artistry and application was flawless! She really understood what I was looking for in my bridal look and how to apply it to me. Everyone loved working with her - myself, my 5 bridesmaids, my mom, and my MIL - and they appreciated being able to give feedback as to what they tend towards in their own makeup use (or lack thereof) and what colors they like. My mom has never looked so beautiful to me as she did that day. Highly recommend!
