Robyn has been in the beauty industry for over 15 years, has worked on editorial photoshoots, theatre productions, & behind the scenes at New York Fashion Week! For your wedding day, we are happy to provide in studio or onsite styling at venues. Honey Comb Studio is not your typical hair studio. Located in Cranston, RI, the owner - Robyn does things differently. We stick to our values by using exclusively vegan, plant-based products and hair color to give each client a beautiful AND sustainable experience. Robyn is also a color specialist who provides a custom experience to feel understood & overjoyed. We offer full service options from color or highlights to makeup, styling & extensions. Another thing that sets us apart is our pricing. Gratuity is built in to our hourly rate to keep it transparent and inclusive. We don't charge based on texture, length, age or gender. Only time. <3

Yes. All on-site locations require a $500 minimum for the wedding day. Travel fee and bridal trial are paid for prior, and are not applied to the wedding day minimum.
Our pricing structure is fully transparent, we charge an hourly rate where gratuity is included. Each stylist charges $120/hr. Each service generally takes 1 hour. For example if a bridesmaid were to get hair and makeup done, that generally takes an hour each, so the total would be $240.
Thank you for considering us! Please inquire by telling us your wedding date, how many people will be needing services, what services (Hair and makeup/just hair/ just makeup), and what time you need to be ready by. This will help me put a quote together quickly if your date is available.
-We use all natural, vegan, plant based products, a truly non toxic salon. -Mindful sustainability. It's my goal to leave this planet better than we found it. All products we use are packaged in glass or aluminum, staying true to our values. -We bring all of our tools and products, a light, a speaker for music, makeup chair and folding tray table to make setup a breeze. -Gratuity is included in our pricing. We charge $120 per service. Great question! 6 months is a great happy medium to start inquiring about hair and makeup services. I like to book the trial within 3 months of the wedding date. Please note I only book up to one year in advanced. If your wedding date is more than a year out - I will remind you to reach out within 1 year of your date to move forward.

    Thank you, Robyn and Paje!

    Robyn and her assistant Paje were wonderful and made both brides and our wedding party look and feel beautiful! They had such sweet touches to their service, such as the goodie bag with granola bars, trial products, and hair clips. The granola bars literally saved the day because I was feeling nauseous all morning! Thanks so much, Robyn and Paje!

    Highly recommend!!

    I worked with Honey Comb Studio for the hair and makeup for my wedding and it was the best choice ever! At my trial, Robyn made time to do my partner’s hair as well and I went into the day feeling so confident we were in good hands. We had 10 people getting hair done and 9 for makeup and Robyn planned the day out so thoughtfully and we had plenty of time to get everyone done, with the help of Lindsay and MK who helped with the rest of the hair and makeup. It was the most relaxed experience I’ve had getting ready before a wedding and I was the bride—and our wedding party agreed! Lindsay did my makeup, taking care to cover up a recent breakout so well I didn’t think about it all night! Highly recommend!!

    Unsure - but then so so glad I did!

    I wasn't sure going into my wedding whether I wanted to get the full hair and makeup treatment (I don't wear makeup usually!) - and was definitely sure that I wanted to look and feel like myself on the big day and in the photos to remember. I'm super glad that I found Robyn and Lindsay, because they made me feel so comfortable and beautiful as myself, and were also super interesting and thoughtful people to work with during the whole process! They made the whole day better just by being there, and providing such a chill and relaxing start to the morning for me and my friends/family. Just from initially talking with them over zoom (from a whole different continent!) I knew that these were folks whose character I respected - what Honeycomb Studio is doing to build community and make a broader positive impact is amazing - and their professional skills are just as excellent.  The hair and makeup trial was really useful - I had a pretty clear idea of what I wanted for my hair, and Robyn pulled it off perfectly! and I really appreciated how Lindsay made me feel comfortable in articulating what I liked and didn't as I figured out the wedding makeup thing. On the morning of, they showed up cool and collected and proceeded to set up a little corner of peace and fun with great music, fun chitchat, and thoughtful silence as I frantically prepped our reception toast last minute (whoops!). The schedule they put together and sent ahead in advance worked perfectly, and the looks they pulled off with all of our hair and my face got us compliments all night long. In short - I'm so grateful to these two!
