EMPIRE FACES

I am the owner of Empire Faces, and I would like to respectfully respond to each of the above mentioned. I knew this was probably coming, since it was a very RARE incident for our staff & company. In fact, in over 17 YEARS we have never had this happen. But FIRST, I want to APOLOGIZE again for any stress this caused to the Bride, BUT HAPPY ENDING: WE DID SHOW UP WE DID FINISH ON TIME, AND WE DID COMPLETE, AND THE BRIDE WAS BEAUTIFUL. I will explain some detail, once more. First, it was NOT a double booking incident, actually. There were other teams going out that day. We had one team scheduled for this wedding, and I myself, was in Austin (2 Houston teams assigned.) On this wedding, it was a 3 crew assigned all along. (Another bigger team was headed for Galveston at the same time.) One of the crew assigned to this one had a sudden death in the family, the other had a serious child issue. By the time I realized what was happening (Bride calling they were not there yet) I had to ACT SUPER FAST to find a replacement team (which is why I did not call her right at that moment…I was FIXING the situation!!) First I was trying to get crew from the Galveston team to come back but they were riding together & could not. I MYSELF was stranded in Austin with no car, my hubs out of town with my car! I successfully got sub crew to fill in, who went immediately to get there. THEN I informed the coordinator, there was team ON THE WAY YAY!! I borrowed a car in Austin myself, and drove top speed (no time to rent) but went straight there, no stops. I knew I would be about an hour behind the othera, because I was 2.5 hours away to get there. BUT I WOULD NEVER LEAVE A BRIDE HANGING & NOT SHOW UP…NOT EVER. I WAS ABSOLUTELY COMING!! So the coordinator assured me that everything was going to be ok, because that day there were MAJOR STORMS (outside wedding/ so things were already delayed she said.) I got there and as originally planned, there was a 3 crew. The Bride got her full makeup & hair done by us, and we did only Hair on all the others, since they brought makeup from home (moms & BM) so we touched up & still finished ALL ON TIME. We refunded the “partial” of BOGO discount of course, (so the group only paid for the services they got, and we refunded unused portion of svc, plus gratuity.) I know that this was traumatic at first, but WE DID ARRIVE at little late But still on schedule! Also the group was to do rehearsal outside, and it was pouring rain thundering. I stayed in contact with the coord. the entire time. She said they were having to clean up water, guests coming late due to storms, so not to worry (because weather problems it was a wait anyway.) So we just worked diligently to make sure the Bride & group was ready and looking great. They were all happy with their looks and were beautiful. BRANDY, I AM SO SORRY that there was ever any panic or doubt, truly. I did EVERYTHING I could to correct it, and WE DID!! (The wedding did go on.) I’m SORRY this happened. Please Forgive us for any duress this caused you. I’m grateful to God in Heaven that we WERE ABLE TO MAKE IT, and take care of the group, despite all the emergencies that were beyond control. It’s completely fair that you feel this way. But I wanted you to know I was just as panicked (for you), and I am glad we FIXED IT. We were reliable in the end. We always will be.
