Hey there! A little background information about me. My name is Aleksandra. I am 30 years old based in West Haven, CT. Makeup has always been a passion of mine, ever since I was little you could find me doing my mom, little sister, and grandma's hair and makeup. I always wanted a career in the industry but never thought it was attainable. Until I reached a point in my life where I decided to take a leap of faith pack my bags and drive down to Georgia where my older sister (a master MUA who owns her own agency) lives.

Within that year i gained so much knowledge and confidence assisting and working along side her for weddings, styled shoots, and video productions. I came back home to CT and dove in full force into the industry and have never looked back. I am extremely passionate about what i do, mostly I love the connections I make with others and how I am able to make someone feel like a million bucks.

I felt very nervous looking for a makeup artist for my wedding because I only wear concealer and mascara. I wanted to make sure I looked like myself but also felt beautiful and special for my wedding! I also didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg on makeup AND had a very small bridal party when many vendors have minimums. It was hard to find someone who fit all the criteria but I’m SO happy I found Aleksandra!! She listened to my concerns and even though I sometimes didn’t know what I wanted because I had no experience with makeup, she was patient and worked with me so kindly to figure out what I liked best. I am so so happy with how my makeup turned out at my shower and the wedding!!! Everyone commented on how I still looked like myself but just a little glammed up!! So happy I found her!!

I hired Aleksandra for our wedding, and she did a trial, but I ended up cancelling our contract just before the wedding due to lack of communication and planning issues. She was responsive early on, but after my trial (which was decent, makeup was a little cakey and not ideal for my acne-prone skin), communication became inconsistent. Weeks would go by without a reply. It seems she had a medical emergency less than 1 month before our wedding, and updates were shared through Instagram stories rather than directly. She also had not responded to me for almost two weeks prior to posting about the medical emergency, so it didn’t really excuse the poor communication. At the time of booking, she had initially assured me she’d secure two hair stylists, but didn’t attempt to find a second one until about two months before the wedding (when I reminded her), and wasn’t successful, instead finding a junior stylist “at no further cost to me” (I was never informed there was an extra cost for an additional stylist as the services were paid per person). The final schedule she proposed also felt rushed and unrealistic (2.5 hours for two makeup services, and 6 hair services). Standard time quote for weddings is 45 min/service with additional time for the bride. While she handled the cancellation professionally, I ultimately didn’t feel confident in her reliability leading up to the big day.

Aleksandra was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding day. From my initial consultation, her communication was clear, kind, and professional, putting me at ease throughout the planning process. On the day of, her calm demeanor and talent ensured that the entire bridal party looked and felt our absolute best. The hair and makeup her & Taylor created for us was beautiful, timeless, and gave us a natural, radiant glow that lasted all night long. Aleksandra Artistry was an absolute dream to work with for my wedding day beauty. Their communication was continuous and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process - from our initial consultation to the day-of application. The quality of their work was truly amazing, transforming my look in a jaw-dropping way. Aleksandra ensured my makeup lasted all night and perfectly matched the vision I had in mind. Aleksandra was punctual, took the time to go through all of our options realistically, and chose colors that were simply perfect - colors I never would have considered on my own.
