Founded in 2021 in the wake of COVID, The Traveling Basket began as a way to help people gather safely and meaningfully outdoors. What started as a creative outlet quickly blossomed into a passion-driven business focused on beautiful events, unforgettable memories, and luxurious experiences.

The Traveling Basket offers luxury picnic experiences designed to make every pre-wedding celebration unforgettable. Whether you’re planning an intimate bridal shower, a stylish bachelorette party, or a romantic rehearsal dinner, we take care of every detail—from curated décor and themed table settings to vendor coordination and personalized touches. Each event is crafted to feel like a getaway. Based in Des Moines, Iowa, our goal is to create beautiful, stress-free moments that you’ll remember forever.

    My daughter arranged for The Traveling Basket to set up a beautiful wine and appetizer picnic for my husband and my anniversary. It was a lovely surprise! The set up was just beautiful at a park overlooking a pond. I highly recommend The Traveling Basket for any kind of event!
