Roots & Rivers brings a little wild magic to weddings with mobile terrarium experiences designed around your celebration. Choose a walk-up DIY station where guests can create at their own pace or a fully guided workshop everyone can enjoy together. From bridal showers and engagement parties to cocktail hours, receptions, and post-wedding gatherings, we provide all the plants, live moss, materials, décor, and instruction. Your guests leave with a tiny living world and a memorable keepsake from your day.

    Amazing vendor

    Roots and Rivers made the entire process so easy from start to finish. They listened to what we wanted and responded quickly to every question we had, which took so much stress off our plates. The owner (which is who you deal with and get at your wedding) stayed in touch throughout the planning process and executed everything exactly as we discussed. On our wedding day, guests kept coming up to us with compliments about how unique and special the experience felt. We appreciated that they were straightforward about pricing and delivered solid work without any surprises. Hiring Roots and Rivers was one of the best decisions we made, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to other couples.

    Perfect UNIQUE Bridesmaid Proposal Gift!

    I ordered custom terrariums for my bridesmaid proposals, and they came out absolutely perfect! Jon listened to exactly what I had envisioned and went above and beyond—even sourcing special crystals to incorporate into each one. They were such a beautiful and personal touch for my bridesmaid proposals, and I couldn’t have been happier with how they turned out! Highly recommend!

Yes! We are based in Andover, New Jersey, and will travel anywhere. Most locations within 25 miles of 07821 have no travel fee, and there is no travel fee for events in Sussex County. Travel within most of Morris County is typically $25. Travel fees for New York City start at $100, and Philadelphia travel fees start at $75. Final pricing depends on mileage, tolls, location, and whether the event requires travel on major highways during peak traffic. Contact us for an exact travel quote.
Yes. Most events in NJ require a $300 minimum booking. Events in New York City, Philadelphia, and other locations farther from Andover, NJ, require a $500 minimum. This is not an additional fee. It is the minimum total amount that must be booked for us to provide the event. Travel fees are separate.
A DIY station is a flexible, walk-up experience where guests can create terrariums at their own pace throughout your event. Our team provides the materials, instructions, and assistance as needed. This option works especially well during cocktail hour, receptions, and open-house-style celebrations. A guided workshop is a scheduled group activity led step by step by our team. Everyone creates their terrarium together, making it ideal for bridal showers, bachelor or bachelorette parties, rehearsal gatherings, and smaller wedding celebrations.
Pricing is per terrarium. Before your event, we will agree on a guaranteed number of terrariums for you to purchase. If you would like us to accommodate additional guests, we can bring extra supplies and invoice you after the event for any terrariums created beyond the original quantity.
We typically need access to the venue approximately one hour before the scheduled start time for setup and up to one hour afterward for cleanup. Larger events or venues with difficult loading access may require additional time.
Absolutely. We can coordinate the decorations with nearly any wedding color palette, season, or décor style. Specialty plants, personalized pieces, and fully custom decorations may be available for an additional cost.
