Almost anything! First dances are particularly beautiful, but I can also paint your ceremony, reception, bridal party, venue or another meaningful moment from your celebration. Before the wedding, we’ll discuss the scene you’d most love to capture and plan the composition together.
I create the majority of your painting live so you and your guests can enjoy watching it come to life throughout the celebration. Depending on the size and complexity of the piece, I may take it back to my studio afterwards to add the final layers, details and finishing touches that make it a truly finished piece of fine art.
Absolutely. I offer several canvas sizes depending on the level of detail you’d like, the number of people included and where you imagine displaying the finished painting in your home. I’m happy to help you choose the perfect size.
Yes. One of the wonderful things about creating a painting rather than simply reproducing a photograph is that I can thoughtfully bring different elements together. Additional family members or meaningful details can often be incorporated using photographs as references.
Yes — that’s part of the experience! Guests are always fascinated by seeing a blank canvas gradually transform into a painting of the celebration happening around them. I love chatting with guests while I work and allowing them to see the painting develop throughout the wedding.
I’m based in Charlotte, North Carolina and welcome weddings throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, Atlanta and beyond. I’m also happy to travel for destination weddings. Travel costs are quoted depending on the wedding location.
Yes. Wedding bouquet paintings are another special part of my work. I can transform your bouquet into an original, textured floral painting using photographs from your wedding. This can be commissioned independently or alongside your live wedding painting.
Yes! I can create charming, impressionistic mini portraits of your wedding guests, painted on paper as a beautiful and personal keepsake from the day. I capture couples in my loose, expressive style rather than creating formal portraits, giving each painting a relaxed, artistic feel. They’re a lovely form of live wedding entertainment too—guests can watch me paint and take home their own little original piece of art as a special reminder of your celebration.
