Pastry chef

I am a one-woman micro-bakery operating in California. After baking with my mom and grandma as a child, I decided to pursue a career in the professional pastry industry. I began studying at Le Cordon Bleu in Minnesota. After graduating, I began working in every type of establishment I could to further my pastry knowledge. I’ve laminated doughs by hand in tiny Mom+Pop shops. I’ve plated desserts and baked bread in some of the best fine-dining establishments in the country. I’ve fried thousands of donuts and assembled multi-tier celebrity wedding cakes.

Since moving to California, I've developed an even deeper love for utilizing local ingredients in their peak season—including fresh flowers. I am currently offering a rotating menu of some of my favorite things to bake, some technique-focused classics.

    Violet’s talent is incomparable. I had the pleasure of photographing her wedding & was blessed to be able to try not just one, but THREE of her amazing creations that she baked (yeah, for her own wedding- like, what?!). The presentation of all three were phenomenal, let alone the taste. You can tell she puts so much passion & love into her baking from the first bite. You will not be disappointed!

    Violet made our small cutting cake for just us. She’s a great communicator and you can tell how much love she puts into her products. She customized every aspect for our special day, from the flavors and color palette to the flowers to match my bouquet. It was as yummy as it was pretty!!

    The wedding cake that Violet made for my wife and I was simply stunning - and on top of that, she was incredible to work with. She was very communicative, walked us through the whole process, was patient with all of our questions, etc. I would HIGHLY recommend Violet to anyone that is looking for that extra 'umph they need to make their special day POP!
