Son of the Wild is a gateway to the hill country no matter where you are. We are small, locally owned, and dedicated to our craft. A professional chef and professional mixologist ready to share our greatest hits for you and your family!

Our food is grilled on site using only oak wood and infusing the rich smokey flavor into the food and in the air around. Professional chefs pour passion into their craft and stay on sight to talk about their techniques. The drinks are all hand crafted, and all syrups and juices are extracted and mixed from fresh ingredients. Check out our menu at our website underneath the profile picture!

Sample catered weddings

At the beautiful Drift out West, we grilled out and shook drinks as the Texas sun set on the lovely couple's special day. We feel so lucky to have been a part of their wedding.

    I highly recommend son of the wild! Sam was very responsive and explained what to expect kindly and patiently until I felt at ease. The crew showed up on time, were very efficient and polite to everyone. His cocktails were amazing and many guests were talking about how special they were. The food was delicious and beautiful! These guys know what they’re doing! Our wedding went so smoothly due in part to their professionalism.

    AMAZING! So thankful for Sons of the Wild

    We hired Son of the Wild for our wedding, and it ended up being one of the best decisions we made in the entire planning process. Everything felt thought through and they were very professional to work with. The food was incredible. not just ‘good wedding food,’ but legitimately memorable. We had multiple guests come up to us during the reception asking who the caterer was because every dish tasted amazing and was beautifully presented. They somehow managed to make elevated food on site out in the hill country, which was exactly the vibe we wanted. If you’re looking for catering and bar service that will actually leave a lasting impression on your friends and family I can’t recommend Son of the Wild enough. :)

    Amazing food! Fun Drinks!

    From our first conversation with Son of the Wild, we knew we'd made the right choice for our wedding caterer. They showed up on short notice and were completely prepared, which really set the tone for how professional and reliable they'd be all day. The food was delicious and had this rustic feel that fit our vibe perfectly—it was clear they put thought into every detail. They even created and named signature cocktails just for us, which added such a fun touch to the celebration. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how good everything tasted, and we loved how easy they made the whole process. We'd recommend Son of the Wild to anyone looking for a caterer who actually cares about making their day special.

Yes, our event minimum is $600 for all weddings.
We are usually out in the hill country or in and around Austin. But ask us and we could meet you anywhere in east Texas.
We are very versatile, so don't hesitate with any questions about the menu! We will adjust to fit your needs.
We are able to do indoor/outdoor for the bar, but we grill all our food on site! So, we will at least need a small spot outside, with even grounding, to get the grilling done.
