Pizzeria Henderson

Pizzeria Henderson is a mobile pizza caterer based in Charlottesville, serving weddings and private events across central Virginia and the Blue Ridge. I’m James Henderson, and this business is my passion project. I’ve spent about eight years refining our dough, and I still obsess over the three things that make or break a pizza: dough, sauce, and cheese. That obsession is at the heart of everything we do. We bring a brick oven imported from Italy to your venue and bake extra-large 18-inch pizzas on site, served buffet style. Packages include your choice of pizzas, with add-ons like a fresh salad and a drink station, plus vegan options and gluten-free crust for gluten-sensitive guests.

Every ingredient is a choice, and we don’t cut corners. We hand-stretch our mozzarella the day of your event. Our cheese and margherita pizzas get buffalo mozzarella from Lioni in New York, made with milk from a farm in Campania, Italy that I’ve visited myself. Our pepperoni comes from Salumeria Biellese, a New York salumeria curing meats for over a century. Every pizza is baked in a brick oven imported from Italy, at a full 18 inches. Most caterers bring a menu. We bring a pizzeria.
