Barrio Queen was established in 2011 when we first opened our doors in Old Town Scottsdale. Our food pays homage to history and culture by serving fresh, authentic Mexican cuisine using traditional recipes from barrios throughout Mexico. We believe in supporting our community with locally sourced, fresh ingredients in our dishes. Our food creates taste-craving memories that linger after you leave. ¡Vengan a reunirse y comer con nosotros! Come, gather and eat with us!

We provide a great food experience while being creative and flexible to create the experience the guest is seeking. We offer full-service catering with waitstaff to drop off catering. Our catering team has over 15 years experience planning events so let them help you on your toda madre event.

    great catering experience!

    we catered lunch from barrio queen for one of our pre-wedding events. they did an absolutely fantastic job with the food! deirdre and her team were a pleasure to work with ahead of time as well -- the planning, tasting, feedback, etc. was wonderful and they are extremely professional. would 100% work with them again!

Yes, we charge a delivery fee that is based on the distance. Additional fees may apply based on requirements.
Yes, we offer tastings of 4-5 items for you and up to 3 guests complimentary before the contract is signed. If you sign a contract with us, we can taste additional items to finalize the menu.
We are full service. We will take you on a walk-through of available rentals and work with you to find options within your budget. All quotes include disposable plates and silverware. China, flatware and glassware are optional rentals.
We can provide special dietary meals and customize fully vegetarian or vegan menus. Our menu has lots of gluten-free options.
For spring and fall weddings, we recommend at least 8-10 months in advance.
We recommend meeting 2 more times after your tasting. One meeting will focus on finalizing menus and headcount. One to go over final venue and wedding logistics.
