Craving something beyond the ordinary? Uncommon Cakes offers custom creations in unexpected flavors using primarily Italian meringue buttercream and German buttercream, so your cake and cupcakes will have perfectly balanced sweetness.

    Amazing Cakes & Even More Amazing Experience!!

    I am so grateful that my husband, Zach, and I discovered Uncommon Cakes at the LGBTQ Wedding Vendor Expo and were able to book them for our wedding! There is such a variety of unique flavors and after our tasting, we decided on mini cupcakes, cheesecake parfaits, a single tier cake and a baked cheesecake. Amanda does an amazing job at communicating, as well as making ideas come to life!! Everything was delicious and decorated beautifully, however the full cheesecake might have been the best dessert out of everything we tried! The reception was very quick but we sat down at the end of the night and ate cheesecake together. It was a lovely moment for just us to share.

    Gluten Free Wedding Cake

    From our first conversation with Amanda at Uncommon Cakes, we knew we had found the right baker. She responded quickly to all our questions and took the time to walk us through sizing options to find the perfect fit for our wedding. During the tasting, Amanda really went above and beyond—her gluten free cakes were moist and had the ideal texture, which honestly surprised us since we've had grainy gluten free cakes before. Our wedding cake ended up being one of the highlights of the day, and our guests couldn't stop talking about how delicious it was. We were so happy with everything that we even took the leftover cake home to enjoy later. If you're looking for a baker who cares about getting things right, Amanda is your person.

    The Best Gluten Free Desserts Ever!!

    Not a single dessert was left after our wedding and we bought a ton of extras just in case. No one could tell they were all gluten free! As a gluten free bride it was nice to be able to try everything at my wedding. Amanda was supper accommodating to whatever amount and whatever flavor of cupcake, cookie, bar, etc. wanted at our wedding.     Amazing Cakes

    My husband and I used Amanda for our cakes at our June wedding. I have Celiac Disease and Amanda was fully prepared to make all of our cakes gluten-free. All of my guests loved the cupcakes we ordered, especially the brown butter bourbon peach cupcake. She did a beautiful job and I was so happy to be able to safely enjoy all of the cupcakes at my wedding. We highly recommend Uncommon Cakes because of how easy Amanda is to communicate with, how accommodating they are, and most importantly how delicious and beautifully decorated the cakes were.

    Amanda's cake was the star at our event!

    Amanda created a beautiful and incrediblly delicious two tier, two flavor cake for our son and his wife to celebrate their recent marriage. Amanda was flexible, creative, very responsive and easy to work with in this process. I cannot imagine anything better than working with her and I highly recommend her services!

I offer vegan and gluten free options for most of my flavors (made on shared equipment).
Cake/cupcake tastings are a separate fee depending on how many flavors you'd like to try-- or you are always welcome to stop by a farmer's market or other event where I am selling!
Absolutely! I love working with couples to design the cake of their dreams-- not only in looks but in taste as well. I have over 40 flavors on my menu and am happy to create a custom one that reflects your story.
When we connect we'll talk about how many people you want your cake to serve as well as any design inspiration so I can suggest several size/height options that best fit your vision and guest count.
