President and Owner

Desiree is a molecular biologist who first started making desserts for friends and family. She has owned The Makery for 14 years and has been featured on a few cake and cupcake tv shows as well. She strives to do whatever she can to make all of her customers 110% happy. She is creative, innovative, kind hearted, and generous. Desiree is married with two young boys so she splits her time between running her own small business and her precious family.

    Fantastic cupcakes!

    We ordered 5 dozen cupcakes for our wedding, and The Makery Cake Co. hit it out of the park! We planned our Colorado wedding from a different state so weren't able to taste anything ahead of time, and everything turned out phenomenal. We got 5 different flavor combos and every single one got praise. Multiple guests raved about them and friends were splitting them with each other so they could taste all 5 flavors!

    Beautiful & delicious!

    Our cake turned out absolutely beautiful and even better than we expected. The flavors were delicious and fun. The bakery was very easy to communicate with as well as helpful and understanding when we had to make changes.

    Cupcake perfection

    The Makery Cake Co. was a pleasure to work with for our wedding. Their communication style was both helpful and fun, which made the cake selection process easy and enjoyable. The quality of their work and the value they provided was top-notch - they were organized, kind, and produced beautifully crafted desserts.     Incredible Cakes and desserts

    We used the Makery for our wedding cake and they did not disappoint, our tasting was delicious and they were easy to work with from the beginning. We even picked a different flavor of each tier we had for some extra variety. We loved using them!

Initially you are charged $30 for your consultation and tasting however if you decide to book with The Makery we will take that charge of $30 off your package purchase.
Yes we are!
We are a nut free bakery and offer “gluten friendly” options. Since we do also bake normal cakes with gluten in them, we can’t claim to be gluten free, but “gluten friendly.” We offer vegan fillings and frostings as well.
Delivery fees are $5.50/mile to start. Complicated or large set-ups and rentals of large vehicles will be an additional charge.
We are more than happy to help you figure out how big of a cake you’ll need based on the amount of guests you’ll be expecting.
We can customize your cake anyway you’d like it to be. We love it when our couples are creative and think out of the box. Of course simple and elegant cakes are gorgeous as well, you just tell us your vision! We love making our couples’ dreams come true!
Yes! We're happy to make as many flavors as you would like, however, when we have to make another batter to accomplish the same goal, we do add an additional $15 fee per flavor.
