Hi Sekinah, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are truly sorry that your wedding day did not go as you had envisioned. We understand how disappointing it must have been, especially knowing how much anticipation goes into those special moments and photos. We are grateful to hear that you and your guests enjoyed the flavor of the cake. Every cake we create is handcrafted with great care, and we genuinely wanted your wedding cake to be everything you had hoped for. In the weeks leading up to your wedding, we carefully discussed several important details regarding the cake and delivery. We clarified multiple times that our delivery window is within one hour of the delivery time specified in the contract. We also strongly recommended against the tall columned cake design for an outdoor summer wedding, as Florida's extreme heat and humidity can significantly impact even professionally constructed buttercream cakes. We explained those risks in advance, and you let us know that you understood them and wished to proceed with the design. On the day of your wedding, our delivery team took extra precautions to help preserve the cake. When our colleague, CiCi, realized there was no photographer available to take photos of the cake upon delivery, she went above and beyond by staying with the cake in an effort to protect and preserve it for as long as possible. We always recommend having the photographer on standby for outdoor weddings in Florida, especially when displaying a buttercream cake in summer conditions, to minimize the amount of time the cake is exposed to the elements. Although we believed we had fulfilled our contractual obligations, we still offered a 50% refund as a gesture of goodwill because we genuinely cared about your experience and wanted to help make things right. Unfortunately, before we were able to process that refund, a chargeback had already been initiated through your bank. Once a chargeback is filed, we are no longer able to issue a direct refund while the dispute is under review. After reviewing the information, the bank ultimately declined the chargeback. We understand that this experience left you disappointed, and for that, we are sincerely sorry.
