Welcome. When I first started my story, it started out with me as a young adult and starting my adventure down the road of cake artistry. Then I dug a little deeper and gave thought to what probably sparked my interest in cake decorating. Chocolate Rose Bakeshop is Griswold, CT’s fav Custom & Special Occasion Cakeshop. Our creations may look too good to eat, but they taste too good NOT to! At Chocolate Rose we take pride in creating cakes that not only look too good to eat but taste too good NOT to!
We specialize in Wedding and Special Occasion Cakes, taking your ideas, and bringing them to life, as the centerpiece of your special event. We also create personalized wedding and party favors, such as cake balls, chocolate-dipped Oreos, truffles, and novelty chocolates.

Sheet Cakes
Chocolate Rose Bakeshop creates all types of custom cakes that are made to order! We are a meet-by-appointment-only bakeshop. We set up cake consultations over the phone. Consultations are available only on tiered cakes and wedding cakes feeding 50 or more guests.
- 1/4 Sheet Cake (Feeds 12-15) starts at $20.00
- 1/3 Sheet Cake (Feeds 15-20) starts at $28.00
- 1/2 Sheet Cake (Feeds 25-30) start at $35.00
- Full Sheet Cake (Feeds 50-60) start at $65.00
Two-Tiered Cakes
Two-Tiered Cakes, Buttercream Iced. Pricing starts at $2.00 per serving with a minimum number of 30 servings.
Iced Cakes
Buttercream Iced Cakes start at $3.75 per serving Fondant Iced Cakes start at $4.75 per serving

Wedding cake
We had such a smooth experience working with Chocolate Rose Bakeshop from start to finish. Their team was easy to communicate with and really listened to what we wanted for our cake. On our wedding day, they delivered a flawless cake that looked exactly like the pictures we discussed during our consult—I couldn't have been happier. The cake tasted as good as it looked, and our guests were raving about it. If you're looking for a bakery that does what they promise and makes the process stress-free, Chocolate Rose Bakeshop is the way to go. We highly recommend them!

We chose a red velvet cake with chocolate mousse filling and a vanilla frosting. 3 tier and very simple. When I say this was the best cake I’ve ever had… I have the top tier in our freezer and it is taking everything out of me to not take it out a week after the wedding and eat it…. All the guests enjoyed it and we are still hearing about it

We loved our cake!!! It was so moist and delicious, we ate off of it for days after the wedding and it was still just as good!! Erin was so easy to work with and so kind, we can’t recommend her enough!!

Our cake and cupcakes for the guests were absolutely delicious!! So good we ate the rats of our cake within the week because it was too delicious to freeze. Guest raved about the filled cupcakes, loved how we got to customize our flavors!!

Erin was fantastic! We loved our cake! Her pricing was so perfect that we actually sized up in cake size than our original plan. The cake was a special treat for our big day! She made the choice in flavor super easy with her sample cupcakes to go! I cannot recommend enough!
