    We hired Liquid Shakers Mobile Bartending and dealt directly with the owner, Maria. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. Early on, Maria missed a scheduled meeting by over thirty minutes without contacting us, which already made us wary. Later, despite having written email confirmation from months prior that we would have two separate bar set-ups, just 10 days before the wedding she told us she “didn’t know” and that it would be an extra 350. Even after my coordinator forwarded the emails where she had acknowledged the two set-ups nearly nine months earlier, she only lowered the added fee (for the “miscommunication”) to 150 rather than honoring our original agreement. On top of this, Maria’s alcohol and soda estimates for our dry hire were way over, leaving us with far more leftover inventory than necessary. We had also agreed that she would provide and set up a water station, but she did not deliver on this, forcing us to scramble and purchase water bottles just hours before the wedding. These issues created unnecessary stress and felt unprofessional, especially given the written confirmations we had. While the bartending service itself may have been fine, the lack of reliability, transparency, and accountability throughout the planning process made the experience frustrating and disappointing. I would not recommend Liquid Shakers Mobile Bartending based on our experience. If couples do decide to hire Maria, I strongly advise getting every last detail in writing to avoid the same issues.

For clarity, all beverage quantities were carefully calculated based on the original 150-guest estimate we planned together. When your guest count dropped to 112 shortly before the event, this naturally resulted in a bit of extra product. I always plan with a small buffer so couples never have to worry about running out of drinks during the celebration. Regarding the second bar setup and water station, I completely understand the confusion and have since updated my proposals to make these details even clearer moving forward.
