If you need a steel drum band for an event in the Florida Keys I highly recommend Chuck Brooker and Pan in Paradise Steel Drums. Since our event was a destination Welcome Dinner we had to rely on the recommendations from our vendors. Pan in Paradise was listed as a preferred vendor for both the venue and the hotel which is how I found him. Chuck was fantastic to work with from start to finish. He was easy to coordinate with, kind and patient with all my questions and reliable for prompt responses. As I worked with him, I became confident that he would do an excellent job and he didn’t disappoint! His performance at our event was fantastic, fun, professional and entertaining. Chuck also acted as our MC for the evening with professionally delivered announcements. We added his fire dancer for additional entertainment for the evening. We are planning another opportunity next year to use Chuck!

We hired Pan In Paradise for our wedding and couldn't have made a better choice. Chuck was efficient from our first conversation and stayed clear with us about every detail leading up to the big day. He played the exact songs we requested and brought such a positive vibe to our reception that our guests are still talking about it. What really set him apart was letting our families get hands-on with the steel drums—it was such a special moment that we didn't expect. Chuck's flexibility and genuine kindness made us feel like our vision for the day actually mattered to him. For the price, his talent and energy were well worth every penny.

Beautiful ambiance !
Pan In Paradise was the perfect addition to our wedding day. Chuck’s communication was highly communicative, and they provided beautiful work on the steel drums. Chuck was very creative and had a lot of great suggestions for songs for our ceremony and cocktail hour. He was incredibly attentive and kind, and definitely wanted to make sure everything was perfect for our special day. I would absolutely hire Pan In Paradise again and again for any event.

I do learn new songs for the brides processional. I work closely with the couple on choosing the best music to fit their vision.

I generally arrive 1 hour before the event. Each location has challenges and I adapt to those needs.

I am a steel drum performer so the style is built around tropical. I adpt the sets around your genre preferences of more reggae, more beach country or more jazz samba. I can fit the energy and vibe for all couples.

For wedding ceremonies, I perform acoustically to create a traditional, natural island sound that blends seamlessly with the ocean breeze and surroundings. For cocktail hours and receptions, I incorporate a compact, professional sound system with custom backing tracks, carefully curated to set the tone and carry the energy effortlessly into the evening. Steel drum wedding music is available for welcome parties, rehearsal dinners, ceremonies, and cocktail hours, with special pricing offered when combining ceremony and cocktail hour performances into a seamless wedding package.

What sets me apart from other steel drum performers is the experience I create—not just the music I play. As the artist behind Pan in Paradise, I blend elegant Caribbean tone with refined, wedding-ready professionalism. My sound is clean, melodic, and perfectly balanced for ceremonies and cocktail hours. With years of Florida Keys event expertise, seamless coordination, and a polished presentation, I don’t just perform—I elevate the atmosphere.

I generally dont take requests on the day of the event. I do work to adjust the genre and vibe for any onsite requests. I do take request from couples in advance to help guide the experience.

I bring lighting to enhance my performance as needed. It is always important for me to make sure the guest receive the highest quality experience.
