My team of DJs and I truly appreciate it. A little background on who I am and what sets Frederick DJs apart from the rest. Starting as a DJ as a kid, yes, a kid of only 14! I took a huge interest in the entertainment industry. It started a little before then, but that’s when I got into DJing. I fell in love with playing music for others while working at a roller-skating rink. (Wisconsin Sk8 University) I later moved on from the roller rink where I became a DJ assistant for a solo DJ who specialized in weddings. Let’s just day that gave me a whole new love for the job.
I got to see not only the ins and outs of truly MCing a wedding and learning the transitions from ceremony, to cocktail hour all the way through to the last dance & send offs. Being there to not just be a part of the magical & emotional day that is a wedding but BE there and bring the energy and emotion to life through music! For me THAT is the magic that turned DJing from a job that I did on the side, to a job that truly paid my bills full time all the way to today where it is a full-time career employing other great talented DJ’s & MC’s that add a wealth of knowledge, skill and energy to each and every event we provide our services.

We give our clients the choice to pick the attire our DJs wear. While we always look and dress professionally and our preffered attire is slacks and our company polo's as our goal is to bend into the background and let the music and our skills be the secondary star of the show only to be topped by the real stars, our Guests of Honor, YOU!
We are always open to taking music requests from guests with the blessing of your couples. I've been in the industry long enough to also treat a request as just that. If someone requests a song that doesn't fit into the list of songs our couples have provided for us, we use our best discression as to wether or not it gets played as we try to always make everyone feel included. The ultimate goal is to ensure the dance floor is rockin' the entire time.
Frederick DJs carrys a $1 Million dollar insurance policy that covers protects you and us in the event anything were to happen and someone were to get injured by our equipment. While we take every precaution to ensure that doesn't happen accidents do happen and we've got you covered.
We are a full service DJ service which means we have everything you need from start to finish from the guest arrival all the way to the last song and grand exit / send-off!
Our travel fees are only charged for events that are further than 50 miles radious from our home office in Frederick, MD and are based on the distance which depending on location may include lodging if the drive is more than 75 miles. We NEVER charge for setup or breakdown fees as that is all pre-calculated in our base rates prior to travel.
We can provide everything from uplights, projectors & screens, Photo Booths as well as offer completely wireless setups for remote locations for out door ceremonies where power isn't easily accessible without even needing a power generator.
Simply put, we do not charge you any sales tax. We cover all taxes out of the price we quote you. I feel that is part of the cost of doing business and providing you our services.
Setup arrival time is always dependent on the total scope of the services booked. Generally speaking for the typical wedding which includes Ceremony, Cocktail Hour & Reception we arrive between 1 - 2 hours prior to your guest arrival time. If your ceremony starts at 4:00, your guests typically start to arrice 30 minutes before that. We are there NO LATER than 2:30 but usually closer to 1:30. Factors such as the logistics of loading and unloading gear for each venue are always taken into consideration with our arrival times.
As a DJ my team of DJs and I are always not only keeping up with the latest trending songs and new releases but also working on hoaning in our skills on incorporating them into our playlists with different songs from the wedding classics to todays top hits to keep what we call the music rollercoaster flowing smoothly to keep everyone dancing the whole night through.
One of the many things that makes Frederick DJs stand out is our ability to not only roll with the punches of the things that don't always go as planned the day of while making it seem flawless to you and your guests. We pride ourselves on being inclusive, when we pick up that microphone we make sure that each and every guest fells as though we are talking to them as an individual and not to the room as a whole. No one wants to feel like they are just there, they want to feel as though they are a PART of the big day and all its festivities.
Every wedding we work directly with our couples and let them provide a full list of songs, genres and styles of music they want played as well as do NOT want played. Wework hand in hand to make sure the music you want is the music delivered for you and your guests. When planning your music selections, if we come accross a song we don't already have, we reach out to our music suppliers to locate it. Additionally for less common songs we will ask for a link to youtube, spotify, apple music or any other source for the specific version you are looking for to make sure we get the EXACT version you are requesting.
