Melissa Albano has been creating cakes for the last 30 years. It started with her watching her grandmother and being so intrigued she eventually started teaching herself the art of cake. She started out by making family cakes, eventually sharing them on social media. Within months a family business turned into a full time business. Cakes by Melissa has created artisinal cakes for the last 15 years. From H.S prom cupcakes, to a shed made for Tanglewood, to large corporate orders, to the most intricately designed wedding cake. It has been her passion for years, and shows in each and every cake or dessert she makes.

“Choosing Cakes by Reba was the best choice of vendor we made for our reception. Our wedding was 11 months ago (apologies on taking so long to write the review), but our families are still talking about the cake and desserts we had at our reception! Reba was wonderful to work with, offered great suggestions as we were trying to decide cake flavors, and offered the best expertise. In addition to the wedding cake, we ordered specialty cupcakes and cheesecake bites. The groom's father passed away before the wedding, so adding toffee crumbles (his favorite sweet) to the top of the cheesecake bites was a personal touch that the guests absolutely loved. Reba was communicative, punctual on the day of, and easy to work with. I would recommend Cakes by Reba as the perfect choice for a wedding cake and dessert vendor for your wedding. You will not regret it! Her work was delicious and equally as stunning to look at. Thank you Reba for all you did for us for our wedding.”

“I found working with Lucy to be extremely easy and enjoyable. She was SO accommodating, she even drove our trials cakes all the way to Sugarbush for us. I had a really stressful time with all my other vendors, except Lucy, which was so refreshing. She made the entire process easy and fun. And the cake was DELICIOUS. Our guests ate absolutely all of it we had nothing left. Highly highly recommend! 10/10!”
