Cricket Creek Farm is an active dairy farm with live animals and farm equipment; it is the perfect setting for anyone interested in having their celebration in a rural setting that is both breathtakingly beautiful and also an example of sustainable agriculture. Various sites can be used for a celebration including several pasture vistas, a historic farm house garden, and a renovated stone barn. Cricket Creek Farm can provide space for weddings and other events for up to 300 under tents and 150 in our renovated barn. In 1926, Helen Osborne Storrow was decorating a temporary structure to depict an early American kitchen. An active trustee of the Eastern States Exposition and chairwoman of the Home Department, she dreamed of moving the handicraft exhibit to an actual home on-site – a building with its own kitchen!

Elmartin Farm derives its name from the initials and last name of Everett Lawrence Martin, Sr, father to Everett Lawrence Martin Jr., known as "Gus," who with his wife, Dodi are the current owners of the farm. Presently, sons, Kim and Shawn, operate and manage the farm. They are the 8th generation of ancestral Martins who began farming in Cheshire, MA in 1790. By the late 1950s, Elmartin Farm had become a major dairy farm in the Northern Berkshire County. Its herd grew to 80 milkers and 80 head of youngstock. Together, the herd filled the new barn which had been completed in 1952. The barn, with the addition of a milking parlor, remains the focal point of Elmartin Farm.

Open Farmhouse is located on 300 acres of protected land in Redding, Connecticut. Just an hour and a half drive from New York City, it’s easily accessible by car or short shuttle from metro north. Built in 1840, the historic Federal Style house sits at the center of the farm, with sweeping views of the surrounding fields and forests. Restored true to its era, it’s a grand yet inviting space for gatherings of 10 to 50 people. Five private bedrooms provide a good night’s sleep, with simple furnishings and comfortable mattresses. Three shared bathrooms allow everyone to get ready for the day. All linens and towels provided. Our vision is to create a place that fosters connection to the land, strengthens community, and plants seeds for cultural renewal.
