The Masters of the Ceremony is owned and operated by Adolphus "Danja Mowf" Maples. The son of a 70's soul singer, Maples enjoyed sifting through and listening to his father’s records, 8-tracks and reel-to-reels as a child. After falling in love with hip-hop in the 80s, he began producing songs in the 90s while utilizing his father's records. Shortly thereafter, he signed a major record deal as a rapper, joining the likes of Missy Elliot and Aaliyah. Today he is a professional radio DJ and the perfect person to trust with your special day.

Bemcha is a Latin jazz ensemble that prides itself in both adding the feeling, rhythm and language of jazz to latin standards as well as in adding the latin and afro-cuban rhythms and feeling to jazz standards. SRO, the Scott Ragsdale Orchestra is a unique society dance orchestra based in Washington, DC, specializing in classic dance music from the 1920s-30s-40s to the new millennium. Extremely versatile, made up of current and former members of the premier US military bands of Washington, DC, SRO performs as a core 5-pc. to a small orchestra with fabulous vocals, horns and strings. All music is expertly arranged for each event by leader/trombonist, Scott Ragsdale, former Chief Arranger of the United States Navy Band.

Ray handpicked the first 8 members, rebranded the band as Big Ray and the Kool Kats, had a rehearsal or 2, recorded a demo and almost immediately the band found itself with almost more work than it could handle. 8 guys traveling around, throwing the equipment into Ray’s conversion band and playing everything from outdoor concerts to nightclubs to fraternity parties, each all the while holding down full time day gigs.

One of the most experienced and highly acclaimed Professional DJs in the Washington, DC Area, Marc Augenbraum has been a Disc Jockey and MC for over 20 years. He has been praised by his clients, their guests, catering directors and managers, and has even been chosen by his own colleagues as one of the Best Wedding Vendors in the DC Metro area for seven years in a row. Marc started out by performing on the Jersey Shore as a carnival barker. After graduating from George Washington University with a degree in Broadcasting, Marc took what he learned about performing and radio, combined it with his love of music and began his career as a DJ.

When fate, family and music become one, you find the Low Low Chariot. Singer-songwriter JD Sutphin toured for years with his rock outfit, Madrone, gaining thousands of fans and even radio support. But even with their success, his maternal grandmother told him repeatedly “Country music is gonna find you.” And one fateful Christmas it did, in a decades old stack of songs unearthed by his family, written by his own grandfather who died on July 4th, 1974, before he could record them.JD’s grandfather, Jim Freeman, an incredibly accomplished musician in his own right, toured with bluegrass greats Ralph Stanley and Bill Monroe.

The JoGo Project is an ensemble of musicians who all come from different backgrounds to create a fresh fusion sound that appeals both to the mind and the body. Founded in 2014 by Chuck Brown alumnus Elijah Balbed, the group features several other DC natives as well as graduates from Howard University who have since claimed DC as their home. I am a christian, that much should be obvious. I am a product of the hip hop culture, but I’ve always loved music even before I gave my life to CHRIST. When I first entered into relationship with GOD thru CHRIST there weren’t a lot godly examples in hip hop music. This has changed over the last 10 – 15 years. This shift has drawn me back to my culture and has awaken my interest in DJing. I have been spinning for 7+ years, and I never stop learning. Aaron is a high end DJ who has worked all over the DC and Northern Virginia area. He began to DJ in 1995, performing at countless clubs and bars in Atlanta to help support his music career as a bass player. Aaron’s love of music began in high school playing bass in jazz band.

A native to the Washington DC suburbs, his musical palate is as eclectic as the community that he proudly calls home. His sets range anything from Top 40 and House to Latin Dance & Hip-Hop.
