“Nicole is the definition of a true professional. She delivers exactly what she promises. The compliments from guests on our wedding florals were endless, and even now, people are still talking about how beautiful everything looked. If you’ve ever planned a wedding or a large-scale event, you know how overwhelming it can be. I spoke with several florists before finding Nicole, and the difference was night and day. One florist brushed me off because I didn’t know the exact flowers I wanted during our first call. Another abruptly asked (5 minutes in) if I was just using them to learn flower names before cutting me off mid-conversation. It was discouraging, to say the least. Then there was Nicole. From our very first call, I felt at ease. I wasn’t looking to spend thousands and thousands on florals, and I didn’t have a detailed list of flowers in mind—just a general vibe and some inspo photos. Nicole took the time (over an hour on our first call!) to walk me through what would fit that vision, approximately what it would cost, and how she could bring it to life. She gave me guidance with zero pressure, and that genuine care and clarity made her the first vendor I signed after booking my venue. What impressed me most was how she respected my vision. I only wanted simple bud vases and understated elegance, and instead of pushing me to spend more or upsell me, she embraced my ideas wholeheartedly and executed them perfectly. “Polly and her talented team did a fabulous job designing my dream wedding! During our first meeting, Polly helped us nail down the color scheme and took time out of her busy schedule to get to know my family. We stayed over 2 hours at her shop when we had a half hour consultation appointment! Her floral team then provided a comprehensive document that listed the flowers in the bridesmaid bouquet, and examples of what the table center pieces could look like. One of my favorite features that Polly included in the wedding package was that the groomsmen had magnetic boutonnières. It was perfect for my younger brothers with Autism and it substantially reduced the amount of pricked fingers the day of the wedding. Leading up to the wedding weekend, Polly arranged for a floral preview where it was similarly set up to my reception layout. It was breathtaking to see in person! My family knew we were in great hands because of Polly’s keen attention to detail. Once the big day arrived, Polly and her team frequently communicated with my day-of coordinator to ensure the florals were on time. My family and bridal party heard o many compliments throughout the wedding that the flowers were the most beautiful arrangements they had ever seen. Polly brilliantly made the low center pieces in take home vases for guests so that they could be cherished afterwards. “The flowers (on our order) came in large boxes, but they were not labeled, so it took a minute to get the flowers both identified and properly set up. To be fair we were warned about the process, but not about the length of time due to our inexperience. As a note, it took my fiancé 5 hours to process the flowers when first receiving them. I also did not have any updates from them from the time I ordered till they were being shipped. They were beyond more affordable compared to other florists, and the flowers arrived alive and in good spirits. We were able to keep the flowers alive for over four days!! Many of the flowers that we chose did not have specific instructions, so we had to follow the general reference for the flowers and hope for the best. Additionally, some of the flowers that we wanted were not in stock, and they were replaced for us with substitutes but were not notified until we had all of the flowers already delivered to us. Also, as a note, bloom culture uses third party sellers for their flowers, so the quality may vary depending on location. Our flowers were in good condition, and the company we had clearly took good care of the flowers prior to delivering them to us. Would we do it again? Probably not, but it made for good laughs and bonding time and we have stories to tell from it!”

“We hired Bunny for floral design and event coordination for our wedding and she went above and beyond to make our wedding absolutely perfect. After 9 months of planning we had to completely change our wedding location (from Kalamazoo to Detroit), venue (from an indoor Loft space to an outdoor patio), and our guest count (from 200 people to 40) due to the pandemic. Replanning an entire wedding in 3 months is not ideal, but Bunny made it much easier and decreased all of my anxiety and stress. “We worked with Nicole at Urban Allure for decor for our wedding at Sarabande Chicago in June, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. Nicole was incredibly responsive, professional, and seemed genuinely excited for us and our big day. Our wedding was unique, we had a Hindu ceremony in the morning followed by a traditional American cocktail hour, dinner and dancing in the evening, and while Urban Allure didn’t have everything we needed in-house (like a stage, large mandap, or Indian statues), Nicole seamlessly coordinated with other vendors to pull everything together. She even handled pickup and return of those items, which took a huge load off our plates. The team’s schedule for setup and breakdown was tailored to our needs, and everyone was prompt, professional, and kind. They even offered to store our Indian floral garlands (from another shop) the day before the wedding to save us the hassle of finding fridge space. We received countless compliments on our bouquets, mandap florals, the ceiling greenery (which looked absolutely magical), and how beautifully the florals were repurposed throughout the day. Nicole and her team worked quietly behind the scenes when needed and stepped in with support when appropriate, always striking the right balance. One thing we really appreciated was how flexible and collaborative they were. We wanted to incorporate some of our own decor (like colorful votives for the tablescapes), and they welcomed it without hesitation or pressure to upsell from their own inventory. Urban Allure brought beauty, color, and a sense of ease to our wedding day. “Grace was absolutely amazing in every way and she far exceeded our expectations! From the beginning of our initial consult all the way to the very end, Grace demonstrated kindness, patience, expertise, and enthusiasm for us and made sure that our vision was brought to life! Her prompt and professional communication was appreciated and she provided renderings in our meetings to make sure our visions were aligned. Grace created all of our flower decorations for our wedding and reception, including a flower arch, entrance markers, our bouquets, boutonnières, and all of our centerpieces for our wedding. We were blown away at the result. The flowers were unique and stunning and the centerpieces were simply elegant with a huge Wow! She even accommodated a last minute request that we had!
