For the Love of Design! Kathryn Townsend's passion for flowers dates back to her childhood when helping her grandfather tend to his wonderfully diverse and immaculate flower garden. Years later after leaving her job at a publishing company, Kathryn enrolled in the floral design program at Longwood Gardens where they stress a less formulaic approach to flower arranging and emphasize originality in design. In 2005, after doing a few events for friends, Kathryn opened a floral studio complete with all the amenities necessary to run a professional floral operation.

I first entered the floral design world as an intern in 2016 and noticed a lack of originality in designs and a need for more connection between the florist and the couple. When I started WFD in 2019, I decided to prioritize both artistic designs and building long-term relationships with each couple. Planning my own wedding in 2021 gave me an even deeper appreciation for the importance of receiving creative expertise and genuine support from wedding vendors.

We're a husband and wife duo that prides themselves on honesty, integrity and quality. Every arrangement we make is custom designed for each couple, guided by their personality and the story they want to tell. My passion for flowers and plants started when I was a child. Growing up in the middle of nowhere was the best thing to allow my imagination to flourish. The school day would end and I would be rushing off the bus to help my grandparents plant seedlings or pick the harvest from the garden. My parents had flower beds and brought the beautiful flowers inside to enjoy as well. I am passionate about being able to replicate flower gardens into a gorgeous design but also creating a unique design just for your day!

Samantha Presto and her daughter Ashley own and operate Presto Flowers, LLC. Our staff has over 40 years of combined experience in the floral industry. Samantha was taught and trained by generations of family members when she was a young woman. Samantha attends classes and seminars yearly for floral design and gardening in order to keep up with current floral trends. Presto Flowers is a family run business which runs smoothly with the help of her children and some close friends.

My love of Floriculture and Horticulture began when I was young thanks to parents that loved to garden and create breathtaking displays of flowers. That love continued through school and became my passion in college. After gaining a BS from Michigan State University in Horticulture/Floriculture and Landscape Design, I began my career. In 1995, I began Mark Bryan Designs with a eye towards creating unique floral designs for events and weddings.
