Marcos Vidal is a native Tucsonian who attended the University of Arizona for film and television. At it's roots Laughing Dog started with three friends creating videos in 2004. Behind the passion of creating is a story of loss, Andrew Rees was the initial founder who gathered his two friends Marcos, and Danny to help create videos. Andrew passed away in 2009 from complications from being diagnosed with leukemia. "11:01" originated back in 1962 when my Grandfather, Nunu bought "The 11:01 Bar" in Reading, Ohio. His story, and my family’s tradition continues to live on through my business. Both of my grandparents have passed away, but I know they are with me every time I see 11:01. On November 1, 2018 (notice the date 11/01) my best friend Blake sat me down, and asked me two questions. "What are your dreams? Where do you see yourself in 5 years?" Blake helped me realize that I wanted to start taking filmmaking more seriously and work towards building my videography and photography business, centered around 3 Pillars.

i grew up in europe and from early on used my father's rolleiflex and super 8 cameras. to me, old photographs evoke a sense of nostalgia, which inspired me to tell stories a bit abstract and ephemeral like reveries. my films are more like vignettes, moments in time that provide a glimpse of what it felt like on your day. which i think helps convey an essence about who you are and what the experience was like.
