“We had a beautiful, fairytale wedding at Lillaskog Lodge! The views were amazing, the location was private and close to Yosemite, and the price was very reasonable. The lodge fit the majority of our wedding party and their plus ones so we didn’t have to make separate accommodations, which we loved. We also utilized the shuttle bus service to take wedding guests to/from nearby lodging which was a huge plus! The owners are super friendly, responsive, and easy to work with. We really appreciated all of their help from the time we booked to the day of our wedding. We would definitely recommend this venue, but we do feel people should consider that with Lillaskog’s charm and perks also comes some minor downsides and quirkiness. The lodge was designed with it’s Swedish roots in mind with lots of bright colors and patterns which made finding places for our wedding photographer to take pictures inside a bit of a challenge, but we ultimately made it work and took most pictures outside anyway. It’s also definitely not a modern place - it has old and mismatched furniture and appliances, and there’s no central air conditioning (which was not a big deal for us but could be a problem in hotter months). Due to being in the mountains and in the wilderness, you will also undoubtedly encounter creatures, critters, cobwebs, etc. These things didn’t bother us too much but they might bother someone else so we thought they were worth mentioning. Overall we loved our stay, had the wedding of our dreams, and would highly recommend Lillaskog Lodge!”
