The Monticello Community Center has a room or space for any need! Our Mississippi Room offers a seated room capacity for up to 300 guests. We take care of all your decorating needs using your decor, including audio-visual equipment, plus you’ll have exclusive use of the adjacent outdoor patio. Our premier parks are popular venues for wedding ceremonies due to the natural beauty of the Mississippi River. We also have a smaller, more intimate venue along Otter Creek with beautiful gardens and natural surroundings. The Hollywood Theater is an iconic Art Deco landmark in Northeast Minneapolis. When it opened in 1936, the theater was described as “the incomparable showcase of the Northwest’’. After years of decline, the theater closed in 1987 and was purchased by the city of Minneapolis. Twenty-five years of inaction and neglect followed until 2014 when the National Park Service recognized the building’s historical significance and listed it on the National Register of Historic Places. In 2015 the theater was sold to Northeast-resident and entrepreneur Andrew Volna, who saved the building and restored its original Art Deco splendor. Today it is ready to host your event.

Gluek Park, part of the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board’s stunning portfolio of wedding ceremony locations, offers an intimate riverside setting with views of the Mississippi River and the Minneapolis skyline. This peaceful, 2-acre park is the former site of the historic Gluek Brewery and mansion, combining scenic serenity with a unique story. Ideal for couples seeking a simple, elegant outdoor ceremony, Gluek Park accommodates up to 100 guests and offers flexible rental blocks throughout the day. Please note: ceremonies only—receptions and food are not permitted on-site. Parking fees are separate from the rental permit.

Midland Hills Country Club was founded in the Roaring Twenties by University of Minnesota professors and local leaders seeking to expand their love of golf. The park was originally named Douglas Triangle for the street on which it is located. The name was officially changed to Mt. Curve Triangles (plural), on November 4, 1925, when the previous Mt. Curve Triangle was renamed Fremont Triangle. The park was officially named in honor of Thomas Lowry in 1984. Lowry is best known for developing the street railway system in Minneapolis. The Lowry Hill neighborhood, in which the park is located, was named because he owned most of the land and built his imposing mansion on the hill.
