Hi there! I'm Zack, a wedding photographer from Orange County, Ca. Ever since I was a young kid studying (and sketching!) bugs in the backyard, I've had a fierce love for the details in the little moments of this crazy life. I got my first "real" camera when I was 12 and was instantly hooked. As I grew, so did my passion and ability to translate those moments into memories. I had the chance to help photograph a wedding when I was 17 and wow! What an experience! That night, I looked through the photos and fell in love. I knew that capturing the moments that would mean something to someone for the rest of their life was where I belonged.

Six years of taking bright, colorful, fun wedding photos in the city has taught me how to deliver a complete gallery of your day told in an artistic, meaningful, and unobtrusive way--because I'm here to document your day, not to direct it. As much as I love taking photos (it's truly my favorite thing in the world!), I believe your wedding is about celebrating all your people being in the same place at the same time + kicking back and enjoying while I make sure all those memories are on camera.

Film brought art back to photography — having control over the film stock, using particular cameras for different reasons, doing double exposures with film blindly, souping film and customizing the development process to the wedding, and so much more. Hey there! Kataryna here. Thanks for checking out my work. I never thought that I would have the opportunity to meet you and everyone else that I have throughout my photography journey. I started photography in high school and fell in love with all that my camera and I could do. In my college years at the University of Iowa, I was able to strengthen my photography skills by taking an internship with a wedding company. Shortly after graduation, I moved back to the Chicago suburbs and began growing my business. A few years later, and I am extremely grateful for everything I have been able to accomplish. ​

I was introduced to the world of photography the same week I was introduced to the world! All thanks to my Dad, who was never without his camcorder or camera. Because of him, our memories growing up are preserved. Then I got my first camera + tons of film. I documented everything. When film turned into digital, that was a turning point in my life. Since then, my memories, large + small, have been organized on my computer, by year. So I can go back + revisit so many wonderful memories from my life...most which I wouldn't remember without pictures!

Originally from Colombia, I now call California home! At an early I began to take an interest in capturing the world as I saw it, as I followed my passion in photography it has taken me all around the world. I knew this passion was more than a hobby, so I pursued a degree in production photography and after graduating I decided that it was time for me to start fresh here in the United States. Upon moving here I immediately became captivated by helping others capture their most wonderful memories, especially during what might be one of the most important moments in their lives- their wedding!
