Welcome to 223 Main! Located in the Heart of Downtown Lemont’s historical district, just three doors down from the Metra Station, 223 Main boasts a storied origin. Initially built in the 1900s as a double storefront, it transformed throughout the century into a department store, political office, coffee shop, and now an event space. 223 Main is owned and operated by a local Lemont couple, Hector and Lauren Tamayo. Hector grew up in Lemont and always loved the downtown area. At the beginning of 2020, the coffee shop leasing the space decided to close down. While brainstorming what the building could be next, the Covid-19 Pandemic hit. Lauren and Hector decided to cancel their destination wedding and remodel 223 Main. After having their intimate wedding at the building, they decided to officially launch 223 Main and open the space up to the community to enjoy.

The venue itself was absolutely beautiful and the perfect size for our 30-person wedding. We had the ceremony and reception inside and they went above and beyond to make sure everything was set up perfectly ahead of time, including the decor, and the day-of staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The packages they offer for liquor and the option to bring in our own were also huge perks. We couldn't have asked for a better venue and highly recommend 223 Main to any couple planning an intimate wedding celebration.”

“If I could do my wedding over again I would do it over and over again at the Barn at Cottonwood. We opted for the Giant Slide, Tractor Ride, Photobooth, Bonfire. In Lieu of a wedding cake, we did pumpkin pie and apple cider donuts provided by the venue. It was beautiful and means a lot to me that this was a family-owned operation. On the day of event, we had several attendants there for us for both the giant slide and tractor ride. Overall, it was a great experience, and I am very happy.”
