Our experience at The Arches for my daughter's wedding was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we stepped inside, we were captivated by the venue’s stunning architecture. The Arches is an old cathedral that has been lovingly renovated into a wedding venue, and it retains all of its historic charm. The intricate stained glass windows, soaring arched beams, and gorgeous stonework created the most breathtaking and romantic atmosphere for the big day. What truly sets The Arches apart, though, is the care and dedication of the owner, Jane. She went above and beyond at every turn, ensuring that every detail was perfect and that we felt supported throughout the planning process. Her warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail are unmatched. One moment that really stood out was when a snowstorm was forecasted just days before the wedding. Naturally, we were stressed about how this would affect our guests, but Jane immediately stepped in to help. She not only coordinated with a local hotel to secure discounted rates for our guests but also arranged transportation options to ensure everyone could attend safely. It was an incredible relief to have someone so thoughtful and proactive on our side. Thanks to The Arches and Jane, my daughter’s wedding day was everything we dreamed it would be and more. Despite the spring weather sampler that occurred during our wedding weekend, we had a beautiful time that brought together all parts of our lives for a wholesome celebration of love. We are grateful the the efforts spent by the Good Neighbor team help us create this day. The shop and guesthouse are already beautifully curated; these were complemented by a thoughtful drink menu, a magical ceremony setup in the Design Garage, and a an abundant backyard dinner set-up. We blend together our cultures in this marriage, so we appreciated the ability to use our own food, desert, and floral vendors tailored to our tastes. You can customize the space to meet your needs! We recommend Good Neighbor for anyone but especially LGBTQ folks!

Guests have the opportunity to explore one of Baltimore’s oldest cemeteries which contains tombs of prominent political, military and business leaders, and the grave of Edgar Allan Poe! Westminster Hall, formerly a Presbyterian church has a unique combination of early Gothic Revival appearances, mixed with today’s modern conveniences. The restored Gothic church has elegant stained glass windows, carved oak woodwork and an 1882 Johnson pipe organ. People appreciate Westminster's prime location at the corner of Fayette and Greene Streets in downtown Baltimore. Immediately adjacent are the University of Maryland Baltimore, University of Maryland Medical Center, Maryland Bar Center, and Baltimore VA Medical Center. Within walking distance are Oriole Park, M&T Bank Stadium, Baltimore's Inner Harbor, the Convention Center, and major hotels, retailers and businesses.

Overall, we loved our wedding here! We picked this venue in part because it’s so beautiful that the decor we would need to do would be minimal. We were right about that, and there was even some decor provided by the venue in the form of trees with lights. The organ is absolutely beautiful. There is an inside area with a table that’s perfect for cards, seating charts, and a guest book. The layout with upper areas around the organ makes a nice configuration for guest seating. The biggest downside was the bridal getting ready suite is very small and there isn’t a separate area for the groom, so we got ready and took pictures at a nearby hotel. The grounds are also lovely and were great for first look pictures in the graveyard (which is permissible if done tastefully). You can pay an extra 100/hour for the guests to tour the catacombs under the church, which was a nice touch. My other complaint was the technical difficulties — we couldn’t get the microphone at the podium to work so we had to project, and the bass in the music using their auxiliary system kept going in and out. The grounds keeper kept an eye on things for us in terms of crowd control and lighting.

Our wedding at The Rivet was everything we could have hoped for and more. From start to finish, the experience was flawless, thanks in large part to Meisee and her incredible team. She was attentive, organized, and went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. Throughout months of planning, she was always available to answer questions and offer guidance, and on the wedding day, her support was invaluable. The Rivet was incredibly flexible and accommodating, allowing us to access the venue early to set up and even letting us return the next day to collect our decorations. This level of care and understanding made the process so much easier and stress-free. The space itself is absolutely gorgeous—unique, stylish, and the perfect setting for our intimate wedding of about 100 guests. The atmosphere was lively, and the dance floor was packed all night. It truly felt like a celebration from start to finish. One of our favorite aspects of The Rivet was the endless photo opportunities. Everywhere you turned, there was a stunning backdrop, and our photographer was thrilled with the variety of shots we could capture. My partner and I fell in love with Pentridge Station almost right away as customers — the friendly staff, the chill/homey vibe, and the welcoming atmosphere all helped us to feel a sense of community and belonging in a city that was new to us. When we finally decided to throw a wedding celebration after 2 years of being married (specifically a cook-out vibe, easy breezy celebration) it was a no brainer to reach out to Pentridge. That being said, it’s a pretty versatile space and can be dressed up or down depending on the kind of wedding you’re going for. We coordinated directly with the owners, Jocelyn and Ephream, who were both very thoughtful, sweet, and gracious throughout the entire process. Their flexible event rental options, list of recommended food vendors, and local DJs really helped to make us feel supported in our planning. Their bartending staff was attentive and wonderful. All of our guests - a mix of family from North Jersey, Maryland, and New York - were so impressed with the venue. For almost all of them it was their first time visiting us in West Philly, and having Pentridge Station be their introduction to the neighborhood and our life in Philadelphia felt incredibly special. We would highly recommend considering Pentridge if you’re looking to celebrate your love in a fun, community-driven space with TONS of heart and personality. You’d be hard pressed to find a better customer service experience anywhere else!

Stunning venue - the display garden is truly a one in a million place to get married. We initially planned to have our cocktail hour outdoors as we wanted to highlight the reflecting pool but unfortunately the weather didn’t permit - we had cocktail hour inside and it was still incredible. The whole team there was impressive and the food was truly delicious. My standards for wedding food are pretty low but it was excellent, and many of our guests commented that it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had (and they’d eat it again if they could). The whole team was lovely to work with. So, so glad we got married here!!
