“Maddy/Maddness Photography was AMAZING from start to finish. I have been working with her for about 9 months for my engagement and wedding photos. She was quick to respond with any questions via email or text. Her website was super easy to use and was incredibly helpful in keeping all the "paperwork" together in one place. She even let me change in her car. She is super down to earth. Her and her team are incredibly talented at what they do. During both shoots, she made Andy and I feel completely comfortable, which I think helped create more natural looking photos. Andy doesn't think he photographs well, but she somehow pulled off fantastic shots. She has an eye for special moments and interprets them differently for each client, which I love. Beyond the artistic talent, Kayla has the ideal personality for personal and meaningful lifetime events. For us, with a very small wedding venue that had some unusual layout features, Kayla adapted and used the space to her advantage in a way that demonstrated her substantial ability to be in just the right place at just the right time. She was also a zero-stress and calming presence on what is unavoidably a stressful (and wonderful!) day for a bride and groom - she communicated her few informational needs clearly and worked perfectly with our day-of wedding planner. What sticks out most is her work during the wedding ceremony itself. In a small and very non-traditional space, she found all the right angles with some VERY creative positioning while remaining completely hidden from all in attendance. Her natural and developed skill was obvious throughout the night. Her subsequent work on our beautiful photo album only cemented our complete and total satisfaction with her work on every level. We simply can't imagine a more positive overall experience. She is an artist and a professional in equal measures and would be a massive asset to an event of any size or type.”

“I truly cannot put into words how amazing our entire experience was from start to finish. We found John and Avec L'Amour through our photographer, Heather Soucy. She told me that her family even used John for her brother's wedding because of everyone she has worked with, she trusted him to document their special day in the best way. That spoke volumes to me. When I say these two are a 'dream team' I am not kidding. As someone who had never been professionally photographed or video'd before, I was really nervous about looking and feeling awkward. John made my husband, Mike, and me feel SO comfortable throughout the whole day. It was so cool seeing these two incredibly creative minds feeding off each other to get the best possible shot. It was a little rainy on our day and they actually took video/photos of us inside a puddle reflection--I mean who thinks of that?! We were running a little late to the reception when our portraits were supposed to be taken and John knew we didn't want to miss too much of cocktail hour. We were able to get the most beautiful shots in just 30 minutes, including drone, which was super important to us. The Avec L'Amour team got absolutely stunning video without us feeling like we had cameras in our faces all night. We booked John for the 8-hour package, but realized we were not going to be able to get the bouquet toss or cake cutting in that time frame. NO worries!! John offered to stay an extra hour to capture the remainder of the evening. Now for the deliverables: we got our first teaser video back within 3 weeks of our day and I was absolutely blown away. We received the full gallery which included a 1 minute teaser, 3 minute trailer, and the full 1.5 hour long event not even a MONTH after our wedding day. It was just like watching a move of all our favorite people and he captured the day so perfectly. I cannot say enough: RUN, don't walk to book John and Avec L'Amour for your special day!! Worth every penny. Thank you, thank you, thank you!”
