The Flanders was a wonderful experience from start to finish!! We got married on New Year’s Eve and we will not be able to top any NYE to follow! Lisa and Molly were so great to work with! Molly was great with communicating all the details and answering all our questions! Lisa walked us through everything from food to table settings to order of the night. The food was PHENOMENAL! Everyone raved and still raves about the variety of food, the quality, the cocktail hour and ending the night with Taste of the Boardwalk. If you go hungry, it’s your own fault! The service there was second to none. Joanne and her staff were wonderful and were always anticipating our thoughts. We stayed at Flanders during that weekend. The Promenade suites made it so easy to get ready and access the Ballrooms. Our guests and bridal party stayed in the regular suites and loved each room! Highly recommend going with their list of recommended vendors, it makes everything so much easier. Getting married at The Flanders was always my dream and I cannot recommend it more to others!!

  • Large venue, not ideal for small guest lists
I know what you’re thinking — isn’t that a restaurant? It is, but it’s also one of the most amazing wedding venues you could ever dream of. From the very first meeting, you’ll work with Judy, the event manager, and let me tell you, she is a true rockstar. Judy doesn’t just help plan your day; she makes the impossible possible. Every idea I threw her way, no matter how out-of-the-box, she brought to life. I wanted a roaming cannoli bar — I got it. I wanted drinks served out of a canoe and a freshly shucked oyster bar — I got those too. Nothing was too big, too small, or too complicated for her. She is hands down one of the hardest-working, most detail-oriented people you will ever meet. The food? Absolutely phenomenal. It wasn’t just your standard “wedding food” — it was fresh, flavorful, and truly unique to the Deauville experience. Weeks later, our guests are still raving about how it was some of the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. And the location itself? Unmatched. There’s something so magical about being right on the water — it feels both relaxed and elegant at the same time. When I first toured, Judy told me, “The night will already be memorable because of the location.” She couldn’t have been more right. Between the setting sun, the ocean breeze, and the warm glow of the venue, it was beyond anything I could have imagined. It was, without a doubt, the most amazing venue we could have ever chosen. 10/10 recommend — if you’re even considering it, stop thinking and just book it.

Arch Street Meeting House

5.0

Philadelphia, PA
  • Up to 300 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $2,000

Arch Street Meeting House is a historic wedding venue located in Old City Philadelphia. The land on which Arch Street Meeting House stands was officially deeded to the Quakers in 1701 and used as a burial ground until 1872. The building was constructed in stages from 1803 to 1811 when need arose of a larger meetinghouse in Philadelphia. The site is still an active place of worship in addition to being used as an educational museum space, and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2011. It is frequently rented for conferences, weddings, dinners, and graduations. The building sits on just shy of 2 acres, and our grounds include both grassy & brick spaces and lots of mature trees. The entire site exudes an overall historic charm.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Caters to out-of-town guests
  • Has a dance floor to dance the night away
  • Both indoor and outdoor options

Venue considerations

  • Does not provide event staff
  • Limited cleanup and setup services
  • Lighting and sound are not included
Arch Street Meeting House proved to be the ideal spot for our wedding. Jenn was an absolute pleasure to work with and made sure she understood exactly what we were looking for and how her team could help bring it to fruition. They allowed us to close the grounds to the public so that our guests could mingle and sip champagne outside in the beautiful weather. All of the guests commented on how tangibly historical the venue was and how they loved the simplicity and timelessness of the ceremony space. (Which looks absolutely stunning in the few preview photos we've gotten back.) Because it was so much more affordable, we also decided to hold our rehearsal dinner there and hired a taco truck to act as the caterers. All in all, I can't recommend ASMH or Jenn and the team more highly!!

With towering columns, radiant skylights, and a grand staircase framing an iconic art deco waterfall, stepping into the historic Curtis Atrium is like entering an era when elegance was natural and luxury was standard. Today the 100-year-old structure hosts downtown Philadelphia’s most timeless weddings, from the airy 12-story chamber where couples recite their vows to the well-appointed wedding suite tucked away in the spacious, delicately detailed cocktail hour mezzanine. When it comes time to dance and dine, custom draperies and lighting transform the atrium to an intimate ballroom — and a canvas for decor both tastefully simple or ornately embellished. A full on-site kitchen, newly installed by Constellation, ensures a fresh, delicious culinary experience for guests at very morsel.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Provides event staff
  • Historic touches
  • Versatile for various event styles

Venue considerations

  • Venue feels large for events with small guest lists
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Lighting and sound are not included
The Curtis Atrium is a wedding venue unlike any other! The space is huge, right in the heart of the city, and walkable to local hotels and so many historic sites. The room speaks for itself—you need very minimal decor. The high ceilings, stunning floors, and beautiful water fountain make it breathtaking, and the double staircase and balcony create an epic entrance for the reception. Constellation Catering nailed it with the food—our guests couldn’t stop raving about both cocktail hour and dinner, especially the grilled short rib. The staff was also incredible, so pleasant and extremely hardworking. Kumbah, who came on as head of catering during our planning, wasn’t always the most responsive, but she absolutely killed it on the day of the wedding—have trust in her. One tip: make sure to ask for a list of alcohol for the bar or send them exactly what you want ahead of time. Overall, The Curtis Atrium is a dream location for a wedding, and our day was exactly that!

We love the FI, my husband and I both have amazing childhood memories running around their exhibits. As a wedding venue it was even more amazing! Pepper Hall with candlelit mood and florals added was like a soft classic library from a fairytale, our ceremony in that room felt magical. Our guests loved running through the exhibits during our happy hour, the little ones invited were playing in there most of the night. Last but not least our Franklin Hall reception was breathtaking and so much fun! Tara and the FI team made communication and planning a breeze. Tara especially was the greatest reference for any questions or worries we had. She was positive, so responsive, and had solutions and advice for everything! We are so obsessed with our choice of venue and we highly recommend it to any couple looking for a really unique and special venue!
