The Sunset Coffee Building is located at 1019 Commerce Street, Houston, TX at the intersection of Main Street and Buffalo Bayou next to Allen’s Landing, the “Plymouth Rock” of the City of Houston. Built in 1910, the Sunset Coffee Building was originally a coffee roasting company. In the late 60’s it was home to the Love Street Light Circus, a psychedelic music club featuring many local bands. I had my wedding in the indoor cafe area on June 14,24. Rebecca was very helpful and always ready to help. She remained available at all time to us and She provided recommendations to help ease the work load when vendor shopping, helped during the event and even after during clean up time. We really enjoyed our wedding celebration at Sunset coffee and the view from the rooftop was a great setting for sunset photos with our photographer. I highly recommend booking for events at this location.

We recently celebrated our wedding at AvantGarden, and it was an enchanting experience. The venue's vintage charm and historic ambiance provided the perfect setting for our special day. AvantGarden seamlessly blends old-world nostalgia with modern amenities. The entire venue and patios offered beautiful settings for our ceremony and reception. The upstairs area was ideal for dancing, while the main bar and lounge downstairs created a cozy and inviting atmosphere. With the ability to accommodate 150 guests, AvantGarden was perfect for our celebration. The on-site taco truck and wood-burning pizza oven were a huge hit with our guests. They also have a nice bar selection and great bartenders. The entire staff at AvantGarden were incredibly friendly and efficient, ensuring everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Sawyer Station HTX was absolutely wonderful to work with for our wedding. Their communication was fast and responsive, which helped make the planning process so smooth. The value they provided was great - the venue itself was beautiful, with a fantastic location and ample parking for our guests. Their in-house decor, catering, and planning team were all awesome and went above and beyond to make our day stress-free and flawless. On the day of our wedding, the weather wasn't super great, and the owner helped us shift our ceremony to inside. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding experience!

We couldn’t have picked a better place for our special day. From getting ready before the wedding to after party at South Shore Harbor Resort. To a huge food and bar selection to please all of our guests. To getting married outside under the beautiful tree and receiption followed inside. The South Shore team took care of us and we couldn’t have been more thankful for them! South Shore Country Club is now one of our favorite places and will definitely be back for future events.

I was originally planning for an outdoor wedding at the Event lawn. However, we had to make the last minute call to move it indoors the night before due to the expected rain the next day. I was initially disappointed but now I am so happy that we made that decision for our guests’ comfort. Carol and her team pulled through and had everything set up beautifully in the classrooms. ESPECIALLY adding the drapes on the ceiling which elevated the whole room. Luckily, we finished the ceremony early and was able to arrange our lion dancers to meet us out in the court yard lawn before the rain. I was able to get my favorite photo of all our guests with us and the lion dancers. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the space and said how beautiful that this piece of nature exists right in the Houston city limits THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING!

The Revaire and their team helped make my wedding day the best day ever. Since first touring the venue, our assigned wedding coordinator Monica was a great help. I appreciated her responsiveness to all my emails no matter how annoying. The staff the day of the wedding left no detail forgotten. They even brought cocktails and appetizers to my husband and I after the ceremony while i was getting my dress bustled. My guests would not stop complimenting about what a beautiful venue it was. I also appreciated how easily accessible everything was. The entire venue is one level so no staircases or elevators required. A big plus when you have a big dress. :)

The booking of my private reception dinner was done with ease. Katie got back to me quickly after my initial request and helped to answer all my questions throughout the reservation process. When the reception dinner day finally came, our Hostess Michelle was awesome! She explained the process of how everything works and was very nice and attentive throughout the night. She enjoyed hosting as much as we enjoyed being there... Then to top it off, the food was delicious! Great service and Great food is always a good combo. Look forward to coming back!

The venue itself is absolutely stunning and has such an enchanting, fairytale-like charm across the entire property. I also love how the venue is owned and managed by one family. You can easily see how much love and work they put into it all, to make sure these couples have the best wedding possible, and I really appreciate that. The value of the package we chose, definitely met our standards. We had access to the grounds for the entire day of the wedding (9AM-11PM), which was really advantageous, and there was even complimentary valet. The bride and groom both had their own separate quarters, which were very old houses with such ancestral and historic character that I really adored. The food was delicious and better than expected, since most weddings I've been to had very bland and disappointing dishes. The Chef on-site was very kind and helpful during the tasting process. Jose, the property manager, was very generous with his time and was very understanding and communicative with visits, tastings, and vendor schedules. There were a couple of times that there was confusion with contacts and miscommunications over phone calls/texts, but it was quickly figured out. As for the day of the wedding, the weather was highly unpredictable. It started off sunny and then it stormed for a few hours and then it cleared up just in time for the ceremony to still be held outdoors, and then it rained again for hours- shortly after the ceremony. However, Jose reassured me that they were all fully prepared to rearrange for everything to be indoors, if need be. The only qualms I really had with the night was when the food was being served, it got disorganized and confusing, since we didn't want a seating chart but had two entree options- so we tried to give everyone color-coordinating name plates, but it did not seem to workout too well. Everyone eventually got a meal, though. However, my husband and I wanted our dinners to be boxed up, since we were too anxious and excited to eat. We had told our coordinator this, and she said she would tell Jose to make sure it was done, but I guess the word never got back to him and the food was unfortunately thrown away. Similar situation happened with the cake, because we thought we were going to have the top tier saved for the 1 year anniversary tradition, but I think it was all served, which isn't really a big deal to us (I would rather my guests each have a slice of cake). When the wedding was ending after the grand exit, it got really hectic with packing and cleaning, because of the rain and everyone leaving at the same time, but Jose was really kind about us coming back the following day to pick up all the items that were left behind. Overall, the venue is beautiful and definitely worth it's value, all the staff are very friendly and exceptionally accommodating-I highly recommend it. We had a great time and everyone was happy, and I can't wait to go back to the venue for the complimentary, 1st anniversary bed and breakfast they offer!

This venue is beautiful! If you want the reception hall super decorated you will have to splurge and get an outside vendor. We went simple so the centerpieces they had were perfect. The venue is a ranch and just gorgeous for pictures. Night pictures were amazing due to the outside lighting and my awesome photographer. We had a beautiful day of weather so it was perfect day pictures and lighting. My coordinator wasn’t the best and barely knew any details from my meetings I had beforehand the wedding. I think that had she been more organized and attentive there would’ve been less confusion and chaos. Overall we enjoyed ourselves just was let down with the coordinator.

First of all this venue is beautiful. My wedding guests all loved it and kept saying “I feel like I have left houston and I’m on vacation”. Even though it rained on my day the venue was beautiful and it just added to the charm of the whole day. Now to the star of my wedding. People kept coming up to me asking who my wedding planner was because the day went so smoothly and I said no one, my husband and I planned this wedding, Stephanie executed it all. This venue is worth it. The all inclusive packages are a steal. The cake was amazing, the flowers were all fresh and done in the most beautiful way possible it was divine. The DJ was phenomenal. They know what they are doing! I was so stressed things may not come together or things may fall apart but the Townhall team just handled it all. They are truly the best! The Bayside Event Center was the absolute best choice for our wedding venue. Their communication throughout the entire planning process was fast and extremely helpful. The venue itself is stunning, with breathtaking sunset views that makes for the perfect backdrop to our special day. Additionally, the upstairs lodge was a wonderful space for our families to get ready on the day of. Throughout the night, Ralph and Connie were always on their toes, making sure that not only my husband and I were taken care of, but the entire wedding party as well. The incredible service and attention to detail were evident from the moment we arrived. Ralph and Connie worked tirelessly to ensure that we could transform the venue into our dream wedding, and it truly felt like it was made just for us. Lots going on in Galveston in 2022, especially hotel wise. Lots of acquisitions, and sister hotels becoming independent. From the minute we were able to establish a weekend, Jordyn Cowan, Sales and Marketing Manager, begin to establish a professional and caring relationship with our group. Communication throughout this 6 month process was excellent, and Jordyn worked to make sure every single request was handled. She was even involved with other areas of the hotel, i.e. Rooftop, Catering, where they did all they could to make room for our group. I believe we had close to 50 rooms. The hotel was perfect, clean, and the bellhops and front office staff were on top of every detail for all of the guests. AND the Belmont Suite was the finest! Felt like we were in a scene from a movie, and the beautiful November day was just another plus.
