Something Borrowed Blooms

4.8

Lafayette, LA
  • Starts at $250
  • Serves Northridge, CA

Thousands of brides across the United States and Canada have trusted Something Borrowed Blooms to provide the perfect flowers for their wedding day. We offer brides the expensive peonies, delicate ranunculus, out-of-season anemones, and the ever-impossible-to-find-magnolia — all at a fraction of the cost.

Truthfully, I don’t believe I ever inquired with a local florist for our wedding because I already had an idea from other brides (and from order minimums listed online), and I knew I didn’t want to allocate a significant budget to decor, but I also wanted a gorgeous and elegant wedding, which certainly includes florals. I started looking into faux floral options and came across SBB. Once I found this company, I never looked back. We ordered a sample box and also visited a bridal shop in CT that carried some of their pieces to see them in person. We originally selected the Wren collection, but then last year they launched the Eloise collection, which we immediately switched to. The florals were absolutely stunning, and even our friends who knew they were fake, were shocked and confused when they saw them because they thought they were real! The rental process was a breeze. We ended up having the order shipped straight to Owl’s Nest so that we didn’t have to transport it up ourselves. The boxes are labeled so you know exactly what is in each box, and how to pack it back up to ship back. There is also an option to buy some of the pieces and keep them as well if you wanted to keep something for sentimentality. They have a Facebook group (SBB Insiders) where other brides share their photos and any creative ways they used their rentals, which was also so helpful to see the real photos! The company itself also releases how-to videos for various arrangements, and you can even schedule live styling sessions to work one on one virtually to see the pieces and how they would work for you. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone and everyone!! I’d also love to use it again in the future for other events!

Florecer Designs

5.0

Los Angeles, CA
  • Starts at $3,500

Welcome. Floral designs, one petal at a time. I have been in business for 1.5 years, I've always had a love for flowers and did it on the side as a hobby. After the pandemic, I was inspired to take a leap of faith to see where it could lead me. The style that best describe me are Romantic, Ethereal, Modern, and Whimsical. What really excites me the most about weddings is seeing the clients' reactions after they see my work, which is always priceless to me.

Maria from Florecer Designs did an amazing job with our sweetheart table centerpiece and wedding arch. When I came to her, I actually came to her weeks out from our date looking for a simple yet quick design in a short amount of time. Maria treated me as if we had been collaborating for months, handling communication with patience and professionalism. Maria took our ideas from our phone and email conversations and Pinterest photos, added her suggestions and expertise, and created absolute magic! I received compliments on our sweetheart table florals throughout the evening. Thank you, Maria, for adding such beauty to our day!

Shelby did an amazing job, the flowers were absolutely perfect and she was so professional yet sweet. My niece was my flower girl and she wouldn't pose for pictures and didn't want to participate, until she got her flower crown. Then suddenly she was the star of the show! My bouquet was beautiful and exactly what I asked for and the table decorations were beyond what I was hoping for. Honestly would give more stars if it was an option. 10/10

Our goal as artists and florists, is to create a blooming atmosphere that represents your unique love story. We specialize in luxury weddings and elopements, and prioritize using premium and local blooms. Carissa is one of the most talented florists I've ever had the pleasure of working with. She has exceeded my expectations every single time I work with her. Being able to rent florals from her is also something unique and amazing so that we can use faux florals for the shoots but necessarily keep them. I would recommend her to literally every single person I know.

    Kreativehands

    5.0

    Woodland Hills, CA
    • Starts at $4,000

I started Kreative Hands in 2001 from my home-based studio in Woodland Hills, California, with a passion to “kreate” and make a difference in people’s lives. As a busy mother raising twins with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Design Certification from Southern California School of Floral Design, I've learned over the years to reuse, re imagine and create floral arrangements into one of a kind masterpieces. My passion for nature and garden designs made our arrangements so unique and natural! My eye is always for unique flowers! Our home studio makes a beautiful welcome to our clients and the relationship is instant!

    Awarded Best of Zola
I can't recommend Srini and Kreative Hands highly enough. Look, wedding flowers are expensive. Kreative Hands isn't exactly a budget floral option, but I found that their cost was competitive and they went above and beyond. If flowers are important to you and you can spend the money, ABSOLUTELY go with Kreative Hands. Srini is just a super kind human being who is obviously extremely passionate about what she does, and she's great to work with. From our very first call she was so interested in really understanding our vision and style, and she was really excited to do something a little bit unique and make our dreams come true. On the day of our wedding I was mostly sequestered to the bridal suite while everything got set up, but my day-of-coordinator and nearly every member of our bridal party commented on how awesome and super sweet Srini was and how amazing the flowers looked. She brought flowers for my hair and for our cake, and my hair stylist and our cake decorator couldn't say enough about how beautiful and perfect they were. The week of the wedding I had asked if she could bring four single roses to give our parents as part of the ceremony and instead of just bringing four roses she added some beautiful little greenery and smaller flowers and wrapped them in twine and brought bottles to sit them in by the arch. Just small examples of how she goes above and beyond and just nails it. If you're debating between a few florists, go with Kreative Hands. I know it sounds impossible but it really feels like they care about your wedding as much as you do.

Ixora is an experience you will thoroughly enjoy! Lisa is incredibly gifted at her craft and is a wonderful partner in bringing a vision to life. We wanted to work with a florist who was kind, collaborative, and creative. Lisa is all of these things and went above and beyond for us. We enjoyed every planning meeting we had and were so thrilled at how everything turned out the day of. Every single guest we spoke to had glowing reviews of our arrangements.
