Silver Lake Farm Bed and Breakfast is a great place to have your intimate celebration or gathering. From weddings and bridal showers to family reunions and baby showers we would be happy to accommodate your event.

We have 6,000 square feet of meeting space, featuring the 175-person Presidential Ballroom. The Presidental Ballroom is the most favourable for weddings. Host smaller gatherings in our other ballrooms and boardrooms with the help of dedicated event staff.

The 1785 historical house, the modern pavilion, and a beautiful courtyard are all available for event rentals. The venue is accessible from the downtown walking mall. Enjoy your special day in luxurious history!

The Home and Farm have been passed down through 8 generations of the Miller family. In 1827, John Miller Sr. purchased the land from Francis Thornton and built a modest family home with his son, “Poplar John”. The simple rectangular structure was built from bricks fired on the bank of the Thornton River and trees harvested from nearby Turkey Mountain. Sixty years later, John Byron made substantial additions including the present-day Owner’s Suite, Queen’s Room, and sitting porches.
