I am a Wedding and Lifestyle Photographer based in Los Angeles. It began as a documentary of my friends, family, dogs, affiliated organizations, travels—my favorite everythings. As I shared my photos on Instagram & Facebook, friends started to hire me to photograph their favorite everythings as well. I’ve been taking photos for years, and finally in 2018, I decided to quit my 9-5 job and dedicate all my time to photography.

Randall de Leon Photography

Los Angeles, CA
  • Classic style
  • Starts at $2,000

Photography has always been a lifelong passion of mine, I picked up my first camera as a gift from my dad when I was 14 years old. Never in a million years would I have thought that my lifelong hobby could eventually become my career. I focused on my future, working my way through college and grad school to achieve my license to practice, but a part of me realized that I wanted to pursue a career that allowed me to go on adventures and meet a lot of new people. So in 2019, I took that risk, changed my hours from full time to part time and put more focus on my photography. I booked my first gig later that year and have never looked back.

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience when working with Randall. We first stumbled upon Randall’s work on instagram and knew this was the photographer that we wanted to capture our special day. Not only was Randall professional but he made our photo sessions feel as though we were hanging out with a friend. He made the whole process feel effortless which in return made our personalities come to life in his photos. Randall was super attentive and really took into consideration in the look we were going for and executed it with ease. He always took the time to check in with us and made us feel like family. We highly recommend hiring Randall for all of your photography needs and special events. Thank you again Randall and we look forward to working with you again!

They are just LIFESAVERS! For some reason, don’t ask me why, we decided to look for Photographers about 1 month before our wedding day. And by true luck, they were still available. They were recommended by my mother. She was at my cousin’s wedding, and she was amazed at how well the photographer operated on the wedding day. I contacted them, and the whole process of booking wasn’t difficult at all. They had answers to all of my questions and concerns I had at that moment, everything was really easy and smooth. They showed me that it would be beneficial for us to consider booking a videographer as well. Luckily we had a budget and, oh my god, it would be horrible if I didn’t get video as well. On the actual day, their level of customer service was nothing but excellent! Since it’s our first wedding :), we had no clue how the shooting process worked, I was a little bit concerned about that, but the way they operated and instructed us was so smooth and seamless, it was as good as it could be done! The result was amazing! Both photos and videos were shot and edited very professionally. In the photos, we looked like we are models from the cover of a magazine. The video wasn’t some ordinary romantic wedding video, it was a movie, with great storytelling and a fantastic choice of music! My husband and I recommend them!

West Hollywood, CA
  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $5,000

I’m Adam—a Boston native who’s now roaming around California photographing everything I see. When I’m not behind the camera you can usually find me in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes, sipping a dirty martini with friends, jamming to Taylor Swift in the car, or taking my rescue pup Ollie to the park or on long neighborhood walks. I got my first film camera when I was 8, and it was love at first sight. Capturing your story is more than just a job for me. From destination elopements to parties of the century, I've seen it all and love every minute of a wedding day.

Booking Adam was one of the best decisions we made in our wedding planning process, and would highly recommend to any and all couples planning a wedding or event. Prior to the wedding day, Adam always made himself available for questions, calls, and even a venue walk so he could better understand the space and our preferences. Adam was extremely engaged during this venue walk through, asking questions to both us and the venue coordinator, providing feedback and context that we hadn’t considered. We booked Adam’s 8 hour package, which was the perfect amount of time for getting ready photos, first look, ceremony, and even a bit of dancing. Adam made us feel comfortable and confident, and was so organized in the chaos of taking our very large extended family photos. He promptly turned around dozens of “sneak-peak” photos the following day, and they could not have turned out better. From every step in the process, Adam’s thoughtfulness and experience shined through, and resulted in the most AMAZING photographs that captured the joy of our special day. We cherish every memory that Adam captured and would book him 100 times over again.

We’re Andrew and Marijo (pronounced mary•joe), a husband and wife team! Our style is bright, vibrant, nostalgic with a mix of candids and cinematic images. We love getting to know our couples before their big day! It helps us create more personal work that reflects your love. We hope you know that your love is special, and that we can see that it is. And that’s always how we’ll tell your story.

Awarded Best of Zola
Loved all the images! We wanted mainly candid photos and only gave poor AM like 15 minutes of posed photos and they nailed it. We we able to spend the maximum amount of time with our guests, which is exactly what we wanted. We were able to fully be present in the moment and enjoy our wedding and still got stellar shots of the 2 of us! Very grateful.

Carmen did such an amazing job capturing our wedding back in July. As soon as we got engaged in 2019, we knew we wanted Carmen to do our photos. She did both our engagement and wedding shoot: Her work is so professional and so dreamy! And on top of that—she’s super fun and makes awkward people (like us) look so good! Our wedding was outdoors at Saddlerock Ranch, Malibu and had about 250 guests. Carmen and her team were so attentive, helpful, and made everything run smoothly! Carmen was my unofficial bridesmaid that day and anything that I needed, she was there. I know this review is only from my stand point of view, but everyone that I shared these photos with were in complete awe of how beautiful they turned out. We will definitely be reaching out to Carmen for future celebrations!

I’m Mysi (pronounced, boringly, “Missy”)! I’ve been at this thing for 12 years and I keep falling more and more in love with it all. Give me intimate micro-weddings, quirky dive bar weddings, raucous South Asian weddings... my team and I absolutely thrive in chaos and emotion. My specialty is catching the moments and those tiny moments in between. ✨✨✨

Awarded Best of Zola
We met with a lot of photographers and Mysi blew them out of the water! In terms of competitive pricing, working within our budget, amazing creativity, phenomenal bubbly dedicated personality, and just overall being an asset to the entire process. Mysi really got what we were looking for. She was also so open and non-judgmental. (She even did boudoir shots at our delicate request, and I felt so comfortable with her.) She made sure to ask what I as the bride was concerned about with photos and how I wanted to end up looking. (Most of us in this culture have some kind of body issue, and she’s very sensitive and understanding.) I think I told her I wanted to look like a badass from a movie, and she completely delivered. As a bonus, she also worked extremely well with my mother-in-law. By the end, it really felt like I had hired a best friend I didn’t know I had. And the end product was everything we wanted, from sci-fi action thriller, to achingly beautiful art shots. Mysi really ran the range with her art. Easy responsive communication, reliable…. Just great. We were tough clients with a lot of special requests and unique situations, and Mysi just crushed it. Highly recommend.

Stephen Tang Photo

5.0

Pasadena, CA
  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $4,100

While some photographers emphasize their gear or trendy post-processing, I take pride in subject-photographer interaction - the relation I build with clients, picking up on nuances in pose and expression while we shoot, anticipating the viewers' response - because ultimately, that's how photographs that matter to us are created. I'm a native New Yorker who found myself relocating to Los Angeles and making it my home. Wherever you'd like to have your wedding, it would be my pleasure to be your photographer.

Awarded Best of Zola
Stephen has been a joy to work to with—he's accommodating, generous with his time, professional, punctual, a clear communicator, and we're very happy with the photos we have from both our engagement shoot and wedding.

Gabbie Burseth Photo

5.0

Santa Monica, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $6,000

My name is Gabbie, and I'm a wedding photographer for the couples who seek a non-traditional approach to their big day. I'm a sucker for a candid moment, intimate ceremonies, and black-and-white images from the 1980s. My work is photojournalistic — I approach weddings through a documentary lens, telling the truth with beautiful and timeless imagery.

Awarded Best of Zola
We worked with Gabbie for our wedding and she absolutely blew us away. From the start, she was so easy to work with and got to know us, our story, and our style. We first had an engagement session with her, where she had a beautiful location in mind that fit our style perfectly. My husband and I were nervous because we're not used to being in front of the camera, but Gabbie's calm and fun nature put us at ease immediately. She has a way of creating certain moments that don't feel completely posed and resulted in absolutely stunning photographs that we cherish to this day. We were an original COVID couple (postponing our wedding a month before it was meant to happen in Spring 2020) and were so thankful that Gabbie was willing to work with us and all of the fluid changes we were dealing with daily. On the wedding day and all of the chaos that comes with it, Gabbie was a steady and calm voice amidst the craziness. She did a killer job despite dealing with on and off rain. She has this amazing ability to blend right in throughout the day while beautifully documenting our special moments. Once we received our complete gallery, we were speechless. The time and effort she puts in to selecting and editing every single image shows how truly invested and caring she is. She even managed to photograph little moments we didn't even notice her there for. She captured the spirit, love and fun of our wedding perfectly. I cannot recommend her enough!!

Holly Castillo Photography

5.0

Malibu, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,400

I'm a CA based and travel wedding photographer. I've photographed almost 200 weddings, and every single one goes by so quickly. I love my job because even though the day goes by fast, I get to find and capture those small moments, sometimes just a fraction of a second long, so they can be relived over and over in photographs. I have a photojournalistic and editorial style, plus 9 years of wedding experience under my belt, so trust me that I've got it while you are able to fully enjoy your day and be present.

Awarded Best of Zola
We absolutely loved working with Holly Castillo Photography on our wedding day. Holly was a delight to work with: friendly, relaxed, and knowledgeable. During the ceremony and the reception, Holly quietly and unobtrusively snapped away, capturing some truly wonderful and emotional images. When it came time for posed group and couple photos, Holly was efficient and communicated direction clearly but didn't give the air of being rushed, so everyone was able to feel at ease in what can sometimes be an awkward experience. I'm hoping not to have another wedding of my own, but I would book Holly again in a heartbeat if I did!

Mirage and Light Photography

5.0

Long Beach, CA
  • Classic style
  • Starts at $3,600

Photography is my creative dream come true and it is so incredibly special to be able to capture memories that other people will love and cherish for many, many years. Around high school, I found out for myself how important these memories were. Not just the ones I was creating currently but the ones that I couldn’t get back. I would look back on these photos and think, "I remember how happy I was that day." "Aww, my little brother was so tiny then!" Or even, "What was I thinking when I wore that outfit??" These little snippets of time carried such a significance for me that I wanted other people to feel that way about their memories, too.

It was our pleasure to have Mirage and Light photograph our events. One of the things we look for as florists when someone photographs our work is how accurately a photographer may represent color. Since so many clients book us off of previous work, it is imperative to have this accuracy so we can convey to others what we mean when we give them a certain color palette. Amanda and her team did a beautiful job on this for us, and she gave our clients lovely, candid, and natural looking memories of their gorgeous day. Everything was done just as it should be, and I am honored to recommend them to any couple seeking beautiful photos for their day.
