originally from a small city in tennessee, at a ripe age of 17, i started this passion i now get to call my job. a few years into it i started shooting weddings and had no idea where life was going to take me. i went on to shoot weddings in the south for 3 years until I realized that the south wasn't for me... so I moved to hawai'i! since the move, its been nothing short of incredible. from traveling across the world to shooting here on the island of oahu, i've loved every second!

My name is Chief and I'm the founder of Chief the Creator. This business came about from my passion for shooting and capturing stunning imagery. I started out with photography but soon found a stronger passion for videography. I love creating cinematic videos and being able to capture all of the most important moments of your big day and turning them into a beautiful, telling love story. While I have gravitated towards videography, my wife Amanda has fully taken over the photography aspect. Her love for photography and her ability to connect to our clients is unmatched. Together we love capturing and creating beautiful photos and videos.

After 10 years of shooting I can tell you happily that I still think I somehow got away with having the best job in the world. i grew up in europe and from early on used my father's rolleiflex and super 8 cameras. to me, old photographs evoke a sense of nostalgia, which inspired me to tell stories a bit abstract and ephemeral like reveries. my films are more like vignettes, moments in time that provide a glimpse of what it felt like on your day. which i think helps convey an essence about who you are and what the experience was like.
